@@dannycourtice Everyone knows it's an Isuzu and they're okay with it. Mazda is a small brand and they can't afford a bakkie venture on their own. Sometimes teaming up with another isn't a bad thing. Instead of one, we have two choices now, albeit two very similar ones. Same can be said with the Z4 and Supra.

considering the expense and organisation needed to do the race you'd think they would have done that. Also some weight and power to weight ratios would have been nice too so that it showed how much the gearing etc helped out rather than just power. Otherwise still good to see a real life acceleration comparison like this.

I have 2018 2.3 twin turbo Navara which puts out 140kw and 450nm and 4 years down the line the newer version still puts out the same power, shame on nissan. Mine is on stage 1 with 160kw and 520nm

I can tell you that the 2.3 is a bit quicker, more refined, and better fuel economy. I am kinda curious why they stepped back to the old 2.5 in the South Africa.

That bt50 is powered by the newest 4jj3 isuzu 3.0 engine. I won't be surprised to get 500k km from that block. My old 2008 4jj1 is running 410k km on the odo right now. Hat's off to Isuzu for loving their buyers

Here in Australia we have had the Dmax and BT50 for one year. All the road tester clowns of course quote the HP and Torque figures as being a little lower than some of the opposition but go on to say that when driving you wouldn't really notice. One journo in particular came straight out and said Isuzu/Mazda must have purposely quoted conservative figures maybe to go with the Isuzu reputation of reliability and longevity. I am looking forward to buying the BT50 next year.

Nice video but it could've used a nice table showing finishing position, times and speeds at the end. Maybe even a rolling race. Damn a tug of war would've been cool too.

BT50 was a surprise. The Navara was disappointing but the P series Cant complain for its price and features its actually a bargain. The Hilux well for that price i expect way more from them same goes for the Ranger and well the Amarok no surprise there that motor is a beast but for its price its looking very dated now

I was looking forward to see how the P series compared to the rest and it didn't disappoint. I took it for a test drive and it really feest faster than what you expect from the specs on paper.
