considering the expense and organisation needed to do the race you'd think they would have done that. Also some weight and power to weight ratios would have been nice too so that it showed how much the gearing etc helped out rather than just power. @@mark-qi6di I would like to own a v6 or wait for the new joint venture, but my budget at this point in time allows me for a biturbo 132kw. I will be traveling frequently between SA and Namibia.

Here in Australia we have had the Dmax and BT50 for one year. All the road tester clowns of course quote the HP and Torque figures as being a little lower than some of the opposition but go on to say that when driving you wouldn't really notice. One journo in particular came straight out and said Isuzu/Mazda must have purposely quoted conservative figures maybe to go with the Isuzu reputation of reliability and longevity. I am looking forward to buying the BT50 next year.

Great video. It's a shame the Mitsubishi Triton wasn't included, it's extremely capable off-road and quite a bit lighter than some of the big sellers.

Why Nissan don´t use the twin turbo 2.3 liters in the Navara you test? I live in Chile SouthAmerica, and we have these engine in the Navara, same like Argentina and Brasil. We received the Nissan Navara from the Mexico plant.

@@darrellmaartens6425 it has to be a combination of weight, center of gravity and the transmission. That engine doesn't have the best power and torque figures out of the bunch but I think the combination makes it slightly faster.

BT50 was a surprise. The Navara was disappointing but the P series Cant complain for its price and features its actually a bargain. The Hilux well for that price i expect way more from them same goes for the Ranger and well the Amarok no surprise there that motor is a beast but for its price its looking very dated now
