I flew on Nepal Airlines A330 from Dubai to Kathmandu as the beginning of my flying adventure in the Himalayas.
I met Captain Vijay Lama onboard, he is a local celebrity and KZbinr in Nepal. The flight time to Kathmandu was 4 hours across the Indian subcontinent. Shortly after takeoff, a beautiful sunrise appeared as we fly to the East. Nepal Airlines crew showed me their uniform and food offering on the flight.
The weather was good enroute. Before landing, many tall mountains appeared on the horizon. 8 of the world’s top 10 highest peaks are in Nepal. We can see Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Fishtail, Manaslu, and many tall mountain peaks. The landing into Kathmandu is very exciting with mountains and high terrain around. Watch the final approach from the cockpit.
Next week, I will share my experience flying to Mount Everest by helicopter. This is a once-a-lifetime experience.

I love Nepal i flown twice to Kathmandu once in day and once at night. In the day flight we saw Everest and the night flight on approach we could just see distant fires in the small villages on the hills outside of Kathmandu...amazing! Lovely people in Nepal!!

Crime rate is very low. Since maoist revolution there has never been terrorism activities in nepal. More than 320000 tourists has already visite nepal in past 8 months including popular vloggers too and the feedback is very positive. Dont point with just one incident. That was very unfortunate incident. No thing is perfect in the world. Everybody knows our hospitality and generosity. You wont know until you visit Nepal. You're welcome to Nepal. Indeed a safest country to visit.

Seeing himalays in the northern Nepal and big hills in the south before landing in Kathmandu is breath taking. Never forget when airlines decend between hills before landing that is another experience not sure sam chui noticed that

Reminded me of the time when I was 13-14 years old and I used to go to this grass field right outside the fence of this particular airport in Kathmandu in the evenings and lie there on my back lining up straight with the runway and watch huge planes land and take off and fly right over me. I can’t explain how that felt. It was a little scary I’m not gonna lie 😅. I lived only 10 mins away from there.

Please write a letter to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal and explain that you were no harm to the flight and other passengers. I can't imagine how many passports you have filled up!😉 But flying is more than just the aircraft it is the people who work on it everyday, the people you meet on the plane, then of course it is the service, comfort, for both economy and 1st class. I do like how you are branching out and showing that city or country more I love it. When you were Beruit I had to show a couple good friends from their that own a restaurant that iis my favorite and they both were so thrilled.
