Don't be a blind hater just on the basis of differences in their engine capacity! Does that even matter here?? Even Ninja 300 is a killer of KTM 390s even when the latter is around 75 cc more! Let's appreciate the new and more advanced product by RE! It's comparatively better as compared to the Adventure 390 as the Himalayan is still better in terms of low-end torque and tractability! Learn to appreciate a better machine irrespective of being of any brand! Day-by-day RE is improving its product at a faster pace and this is coming from a KTM rider only! 🙌❤️@tyldudn

Meter is accurate too, when Himalayan was at around 156 and ADV 390 was at around 158-159, Himalayan was pulling towards ADV 390, which means that it's meter is accurate

@tyldudn 373* cc almost 85cc 😂😂🤣, not even 80cc, and yes KTM engines are high revving so they generate more power but everyone prefers a relaxed engine and that's what Royal Enfield is providing, Relaxed and calmer engine which as is powerful as KTM while not stressed so it's a better deal imo 😌

@tyldudn it's 373cc not 370 so not 85cc difference 🤣🤣😂, not even 80cc bro, KTM Engines are high revving and RE engines are Relaxed and yes RE Himalayan has more displacement but it's not as stressed as KTM Engines and even though RE engine is calmer and not stressed it performs as good if not better than KTM 390 adv while being whopping more than 1 lakh 15 cheaper, so sorry KTM fanboy i would prefer RE over KTM all day long even if that 399cc engine makes it's way to 390adv still it would not perform that much better as already seen in duke 390s, so no RIP Himalayan, it would be faster yes but how much faster 5kmph max 🤣🤣 5 kmph makes no difference Himalayan will steal kill KTM by it's VFM 😌

If the old 390 engine can do this. The newer 390 engine could still be the torque master in its segment despite being slightly underpowered. Kudos to RE for jumping the DOHC wagon and finally proving what it can do. Still fast and first: KTM 390.. Faster and faster: Himalayan 450.. In style and suave: GT650..

Curious why KTM was struggling at 158-159 for a certain time and once RE moved ahead it picked up again goong to 163-4 .. The RPM on KTM also was held up for a but while RE Moved up.. I own adv 390 and 160+ is usually not a struggle and rpm doesnt stagnate at that point.. However.. RE has done a good job with this.. it looks like a reliable and low end torque friendly bike.. Thats seriously a game changer..

Agree I don't think the KTM ka full potential use kiya hai. It's an easy win for adv. The bike is lightweight and generates more power.

despite being higher cc made such an effort to beat or come close to ktm re still needs lots of improvement to compare with ktm coz it’s too good to be compared ktm still is the king of speed and performance sorry re you still need improvements you can see how easily ktm touches 160 with 390cc such an amazing power but similarly with more than 400cc killing its engine to touch 160 sorry re but you are still a kid with metal body that’s all!

Bro it is compared in between the segments bro 😢 not about engine cc, And royal enfield does not make a racing engine but it’s good to see that they are developing, btw the both bike are of different kerb weight (ktm 162 kg, re 196 kg) that’s a big difference

@@whatdaftheydoinovader keep your high hopes down. KTM is known worldwide for their off-roaders yet their Indian variants never came close to the capabilities of RE and Hero. The fact that RE made a true off-roading bike capable of this speed should put KTM India in deep shame which never could produce a true off roader nor a twin engine

Bro if Himalayan almost used full potential like ktm then RE would've got vibration problem like ktm. Low compression engine in re compared to ktm is better with lesser vibes.

Its because of the accessories + crash protection added to the ktm 390 adventure. 390 adv with a single rider will consistently hit 170 top speed. Nothing against Himalayan but thats the fact.

@@DontuseGoogleorWiki first of all, adv or even scrambler arent for drag races. There are caferacers or sports bikes for that. Off road rally race is still understandable. I pity those who use insane stuff like himmy or any adv on tarmac. Id admire an adv with dust scratches and dents. I have 900 cc cafe racer, 1700 cc cruiser, 650 interceptor and himmy 450. Each of them have different purpose and pleasure. Yes, i am addicted to 0-100 but i wont expect 650 super meteor to compete with 650 interceptor coz interceptor will win any day coz of lesser weight. All noobies here.

Really nice video. But adv shows 159, himalayan hows 156 and is overtaking the adv.. either of the speedos have a calibration error. But still, its very clear that the himalayan 452 can eat up the ktm. SOLID engine.. truly didn't expect this.. and yeah, the re sounds sweeeeet..

I have test ridden it and all I can say is it have some damn adrenaline pumping power and torque 🔥 I wish to own this beast but financial problems is a big barrier 🥲 Like I've seen it, ridden it, loved it, and with the short 10 minute test ride I even made a bond with it, but that big barrier is preventing me from owning this beast. Gotta buy this once I passout of college and get a job. Till then it's a dream......

This Himalayan wins in two aspects: low end torque and high end speed. Low end is a friend in need in off road situations while , top speed makes tarmac travel interesting .Hats off RE ❤

Scram 450 (if launched by RE with reduced weight), shall outgrow adv 390. Great engine developed by RE. The only issue of delayed initial acceleration should be taken care of.

I used to be a true re fan, until i realised the build quality. The vehicle looks phenomenal but the detailings is not upto the mark. Moreover the chassis issue that has been going viral also made me think twice- so finally chose the vstrom sx. It does the job quite impressively

Adv 390 go till 169 170 in good condition. Some extra weight of the crash guard and saddle stay made the difference

Skills matters.....RE is damm good two wheeler...as well as KtM also good Two wheeler....it's all about segment....we all know..about KTM engine & RE engine....both are good..see KTM speed meh toh bolo hi maat..sabko pata he....and RE ka power...like... weight and all.. over all both are good bikes ....

Here adv 390 not reaching 10 k rpm in 6 the gear that’s why Himalayan and adv are head to head , but Himalayan performance was quite impressive!!!!

Da,mn, that Himalayan had me impressed. it definitely is a better off-roader than the KTM and this shows its no slouch on the highways if you're in the mood. Royal Enfield has actually transformed itself.
