You probably didn’t hear it when they said that it will take them two years to produce enough of these rockets to make some kind of an impact in the war. We had 20K of these rockets, Ukraine spent half of them. I just wonder, where do those billions go if half of our HIMARS rocket stock was spent within a month?
@MrGolov-te5eb2 жыл бұрын
@YAT 97 it’s not true. The US never used HIMARS for the past 3 decades or used it very little. So there was no need to produce missiles for them. Only 21K in stock with a 3rd given to Ukranians initially. The guy in this video said that they will need 18-24 months(read 2 years+) to produce enough rockets to make a difference in this war. By that time Russians will drink tea in NY’s Central Park. And, no. I am not a Democrat. Democrats support this war. They support Biden and his crackhead son, Hunter, great energy advisor who sits on the board of Burisma in Ukraine. I will be voting Trump if he runs again.
@MrGolov-te5eb2 жыл бұрын
@YAT 97 and here’s another problem with our weapons stockpiles. Artillery shells. Did you know that the US wouldn’t be able to produce enough artillery shells to fight a ground war with China? Or Russia for that matter.

@YAT 97 I have posted an article for you to read. It was written by US LT. Colonel Alex Vershinin for the Royal United Services Institute which is a top UK 🇬🇧 military think tank. So google his name and this organization then read the article. In it he details the numbers. Did you know that the Russians are spending 70K artillery shells and rockets per day in Ukraine? Sounds unbelievable, but it is true. We don’t have that capability. Then loonies like your friend Joe Biden wants to go to war with China whose industrial capabilities are far greater than Russia’s.

I am not inclined to think that these concerns are put to rest. There are estimates that about 70% of weapons given to Ukraine by the West never makes it to the frontlines. Well, the Russians also captured dozens of Javelins and MLAWs as trophies, and those are going straight to Russian defense labs for reverse engineering. That's not a good thing. It's easy as an American to feel like spending $40 billion on weapons for Ukraine is a waste. Still, you have to figure that we spend $800 billion annually on defense. Our primary rivals are Russia and China. If the Ukrainians are willing to suffer casualties and fight the Russians in a war of aggression, then we should support them. The more tanks, APC's, trucks, helicopters, fighter jets, experienced soldiers, etc. that the Ukrainians destroy, the less we have to worry about. America was on the winning side of two world wars because of our industrial capacity. We suffered comparatively few casualties compared to other countries in both of those wars. Russia is burning through all of its men and equipment in a futile war over farmland. Russia is making a strategic blunder. Russia's armed forces will be weakened for decades to come, and its political leadership will be weakened by domestic unrest as the true cost of the war becomes known.

The doubling of production is also necessary to adhere to the increased demand. @Adriaan Bouwer - Dude, Poland is a maker of weapons and has a license to make what they need domestically. They're also part of NATO, meaning they have the US Army in town as well as the US Air Force overhead. Poland is also getting US M1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks. The USA also has the best MLRS in the world. The M270 MLRS and the M142 HIMARS. They'll likely buy the licenses they need to domestically make things they need. Plus, for the US Forces-Poland, that means a shorter supply train as well. Right now, Poland is actually removing its former Soviet Stocks and retiring their own Domestic Versions they've built, like the PT-91 Twady now shooting up Russian T-62s in Southern Ukraine.

Russia is trying to get enough troops through basic training to make up the losses but most get an Kalashnikov and are sent to the front without any training. We are currently training about 80.000 Ukrainian army troops and their air force is getting conversion training in the US to switch to F-16s. We are sending them in with modern equipment and supplies. Russia has to take whatever the Belarusian president is willing to part with and is begging Iran and China for supplies. Overseas sales of advanced weapons have to be approved by Congress. You also have to ensure the technology is secure and is not used inappropriately (like firing on civilian targets). It’s not an easy thing to just give and sale things like this.

What makes HIMARs a potentially better system for this conflict is it's mobility and ease of supply. It's harder to shoot and scoot with a tracked vehicle. You can fix the engine with off-the-shelf parts rather than the crazy engines they put into tracks. They rely on large supply trains. They can do more damage, but lack the mobility that I think is really key in this conflict. They don't have as much armor - but if your in rocket artillery and catching fire, your already in deep trouble haha. In terms of equipment for the roll, I think Himars wins out - at least in this conflict where they are outnumbered against a technologically inferior foe.

HIMARS is capable of firing a wide variety of munitions by rocket and missile, far further than the claimed 57 miles.

Well, U.S. isn't going to arm Ukraine with the U.S.'s best weaponry. HIMARS have much longer range with different rockets, having different rockets for different targets.

Slava Ukraini. I'm very grateful USA 🇺🇸 is helping Ukraine 🇺🇦 to defend its right to live their lives as the want to and not have a brutal dictator tell them how to live. Where would USA be without Frances 🇫🇷 help? Now we are helping Ukraine to achieve its dream of self determination.

How about Ukraine stop massacring ethnic Russians in Donbas?

Why do you support the only nation on earth to have open NAHATZES in their government and military? I.e. AZOV battalion, the right sector?

France helped the US because they hated the English that much and wanted to continue to trade with America after the war.

Make no mistake, HIMARS cannot liberate and hold a territory for Ukraine, but it can slowly whittle away at the Russians positions/equipment/ammo until they have the advantage. Which is why its the best tool in their arsenal right now.
@gvaik2 жыл бұрын
Are you even listening to yourself? "until the have the advantage". How can they ever have it against Russia which is superior in every aspect? 16 HIMARS (less if the Russian claims of destroying some are true) against hundreds of Russian pieces. No Air Force left practically, no tanks in large numbers, not many veteran combat troops left.
@Mustafa-to9si2 жыл бұрын
Depends the use they give It, HIMARS could hit roads and Bridges used for the Russian troops for logistics to keep in combat the 20K troops in Kherson

HIMARS is the new King Of Battle. It needs to evolve to be even more effective than what it already is. Quantity is also an issue. Get production up and running
