You can unlock the controller limiter and the max goes up to 28+ mph for throttle only or pedal assist.

You disconnected the brake light and tail light. Just coil and zip tie under rack platform. It’s an important safety feature

If you go into the special menu of the screen it will ask for a pass code it is 0510. You can increase the top speed limit. Top speed i have seen from others is 28 to 30 mph! You hit up and down until it gets those flashing letters then hit and hold down and the info button together. It will then ask for the code

Sorry I see You updated your comment Some of your specs are wrong. I think you should go to the Hemingway it’s a 750 motor 48 W and I can get up to 29 miles and it is programmable.

The miles one can get depends on the terrain you're riding the bike in. If all flat terrain, with few hills, and pedaling constantly, you'll get the most miles. I just saw a fellow that got 40 miles the other day, plus it depends on the weight of the rider as well. Some have taken the off-road tires, and changed to road-tires (still same width) which helps with roll resistance too. Still waiting for my bike to arrive, and I'm expecting it next month.

Just relieved my bike and its definitely a great value. You get 750watts, 17.5 ah battery top speed about 30 on flat and 34 going downhill, not too mention the integrated lights, fender, rear rack, and large screen.

As of mid-October 2020 Rad just raised the price of the Fat Tire Rad Rover to $1599.00.....if this is a "true" 750w motor then Rad has a serious competitor on their hands....providing Himiway can ship within a reasonable (less than 3 week) window...... minor diffs in favor of the Himiway include higher capacity battery, rear rack and higher top speed stock and, of course, the lower price tag.....that said, the Rad Rover is a true beast, not a "jumper" but well-suited to a big and tall riders on almost all terrains.... also due to its popularity, it has aftermarket upgrades available that can take it from a Class 2 to a Class 3 for far less than the cost of a new e-bike....competition at this category of e-bikes is a good thing....best of luck, Himiway!

Commenting while watching but I like that the throttle can be used from a standstill. There is really no point in having the "safety feature" of engaging the pedals first but I do understand your point. Great reviews so far keep it up!

I forgot to say that I also agree I would rather have the trigger shifters instead of a the Altus. HAte that style of thumb shifter personally. But ya good review and looks like a good value for this ebike.

fo sho. i don’t think it costs too much extra for the trigger shifters but they do make a difference. i guess you could argue that you probably won’t be shifting much anyway since it’s a 750 watt but still :)

I don't like where the controller is on the bottom . Could see that getting trashed by branches and anything else that flies up. Should have a protective guard..

that’s a good point. i think this bike would be fine on light trails, but ya if you’re trying to emtb with it the controller is definitely going to be issue the first time you try to slide over a log or something haha

I am an owner and big fan of the Himi until my motor burned out. I have had the bike for about 4 months and just passed 500 miles. Customer service walked me through some tests then told me my motor was no longer working. They asked me to send a video to customer service of the bike and showing no response from motor. I received an email back stating they would cover the replacement however I needed to leave a deposit. Although I wasn’t thrilled about this I spent the $100 for a deposit. This was 2 weeks ago and I have been given a number of excuses as to why they have not sent the replacement out. Sounds like there has been a run on motor replacements and now they are telling me the last order of motors were lost 😒 I am losing my patience and losing valuable fall riding weather.
