Consider a 2nd battery unless you are going long distances all the time. Most of the time I ride less than 25 miles in a day. But if I’m going for a longer ride I carry my spare/extra battery in a backpack. That would allow me to ride about 70 miles. This is cheaper than a huge battery and your bike is lighter.

So, for the Fiido T1 that I have, I inserted a smaller battery (17.4AH instead of the big 20AH that came with the bike). The result was that it had about about 85% of the power in acceleration. This was good because the original was too powerful which leaves it hard on the battery. The larger battery pack can have bigger throughput and also the different BMS internally might be a factor. So batteries can have different characteristics when matched with different controllers.

I wish you would pull a Cyrusher 750 motor to see what it looks like, given they seem more torquey than the Rad bikes.
@harpguy13 жыл бұрын
The difference in power between the 2 is that the Rad controller is 16.5 amps & the Himiway controller is 25 amps = huge difference in power. There is no ability to change that in the Rad controller however in the Himiway it is adjustable. Amps multiplied by Volts equals Watts, which is the measurement used to determine the amount of energy. The higher the wattage is, the more power and output from the appliance. I hope this answers your question in the video Citizen Cycle.
@Hoggdoc19463 жыл бұрын
Yes but the Himiway controllers is set to 15 amps from factory or at least mine was. So in my opinion the diference in the motors as shown in the video (about 25% to me) also explains why in the stock setting the Himiway is more powerful than the RAD. Then is you goi into the seeting of the Himi and set the controller to 25 amps you are getting 1200 watts toi the motor.

You want to put the heat on the metal around the screw or bolt. Not on the screw or bolt. The heat expands the metal. You want the outside metal to expand away from the inside metal. The heat excites the molecules expanding them.

@Hoggdoc19463 жыл бұрын
Actually the controller max amps is the thing that determines power output of the motor. The ah is the amount of energy stored in the battery which relates to how far you can ride. If you change the controller to a higher amperage unit that will provide more power to the motor to a point. After that point you stand a chance of destroying the motor.

Thanks for your effort of showing us the inside of the more popular E-bike to buy for your buck near $1500. This made me decide which E-bike to buy (Radrover, Lectric or Himiway). I'm not an engineer or physicist but most people that know how a magnet work knows that the stronger the magnets or electromagnets when used in motors, the powerful the motor. I think part of the reason why Himiway motor has more torque is because it has larger metal around the permanent magnets. The magnetic field produced by the permanent magnets is more concentrated to the rotor to produce a stronger motor. It is possible also that Himiway used a stronger magnets or applying more amp to the motor during acceleration. Volt X Amp= Watts. You can change the value of V or A with the same result of wattage but it gives you different electrical load to the components. Since this two bike is using the same battery voltage, Himiway figured a way to build a stronger motor. Keep posting interesting stuff and be safe.

It looks to me that the Himiway motor's manufacturer simply took Bafang's 500w motor design and beefed it up slightly with larger magnets to handle more current a little better. Which also would explain the better than stock RR performance for Himiway but not quite the performance a Rad gets with a 750w.

'larger' magnets dont do squat and that is not even the case with Himiway. the OEM needed to select stronger permanent magnets using the RIGHT material. But they wont bc they are selling this garbage too cheaply, and dont really care whether you get a true '750 watt' motor or not.

They should have never claimed 750 as the motor watts--misleading.I have a true 750 bafang on my new CSC and it cruises on flat with pedal assist 3 at about 15 mph at 0 to 200 watts.Going up hill I have seen it flash 1400 watts--but it will keep up 1200 to 1300 watts and a 15 mph top speed up a decently sized hill throttle only.I tested it today and usee the throtle up 2 big long hills--then my steep driveway and motor was barely lukewarm.I plan on keeping my PAS on 3 and gears on 4 to 5.When I do this I am at almost 50 miles with half a bar and the peddling I am doing is what i would describe as light.BTW even doing that i was sore the first 2 days so you are getting good exercise and cardio with these.PAS of onky 3 can get me up those hills also at 15 plus which is brisk and it uses way less power--about 500 to 600 watts and me barely peddling as opposed to 1200 watts on throttle only to keep up the same speed--so even just barely peddling helps these motors a lot.I did 25 miles on PAS 3 and it did not even use half a bar--and that was with a mile offroad trail and 2 big hills--and yes I peddled most 85% plus of the time--but it was a very light to mild peddle--just enough for cardio--but doing that you can kep up a 15 to18 mph pace with no problem--which is actually very brisk--especially on offroad trail where i actually had to tone it down a bit.
