@@Bethmin7 When we go into the texts for origin of Vedas, it is said that along with the manifestation of the universe, Vedas were also given to mankind as their manual since only mankind have the element of choice being mentally different as compared to animals which don't have any choices but only instincts. So as you said Vedas could have originated anywhere but as per the available texts and also based on geographical events spanning thousands of years and also genetic research of humans, it is established that Vedas must have originated in Bharat that is India with a caveat it could be elsewhere too.
