Hindustani+Carnatic Jugalbandi by Mahesh Kale & Sandeep Narayan | Indian classical music performance

A jugalbandi or jugalbandhi is a performance in Indian classical music, especially in Hindustani classical music, but also in Carnatic that features a duet of two solo musicians. The word jugalbandi means, literally, "entwined twins." The duet can be either vocal or instrumental.

The amount of people saying carnatic music is better and hindustani sounds awful disgusts me. People forget that these forms of music have the same origin. This video was supposed to bring out the beauty of Indian classical music, but hate won against it. A person who enjoys music will never disrespect any form of classical music like this (regardless of whether it's north indian, western, arabic, etc). Even if you don't like something, as a decent human you're supposed to just ignore it respectfully, and not say negative things about something so intricate, and beautiful. If you're disrespectful, that means you hate a particular culture more than you love music. It's very clear. You're not a nice person and lack values.

Yes. Sandeep sings a thillana, while Mahesh sings a tharana which is a pretty similar thing. They both keep weaving and out of both forms.
