HIP-103 Punched Me In The Face With The Urbanization Oracle

PLEASE NOTE I was tried and so punch drunk that I put up the wrong ticker up. That was for MOB not MOBILE. I kinda realized something was wrong at the end which is why I apologized for my tiredness. My bad.
The Urbanization Oracle of HIP-103 was implemented March 4. Rewards have dropped. It was expected, but sad to see. You can see the mapping for this here:

Obviously, at the moment, the right choice would be not to try. At least not with CBRS. The numbers are dropping like crazy and you’ll never get ROI at this rate unless you have a super awesome area for it. Which I did until hip-103 was approved. That’s life.

I have a outdoor Mobile radio and was wondering if it's better to position it to cover more hexes (facing pasture land, better signal reach) or to position it towards urban development. (less hexes with signal loss due to other houses, but possibly more useful) Basically, does having more hexes covered increase Mobile earnings, with a higher est. coverage points score? How would HIP 103 play into this, roughly?

Hi Justin, Thanks for the sharing your experience with the helium network implementation, very informative. Minor correction, its just the urbanization oracle was implemented as part of the HIP 103. yeah, next 30days will see footfall traffic oracle and in 60 days will see the other Land Type oracle included in the poc rewards calculation. Rewards are not going to be the same as before. Its all going to be just the data offloading in the near future. But got a question for you, what is the setup you have for 436H - interested to know the antenna type you have installed is that omni directional or single directional? pls share what dbi as well. setup looks really good. if the possible links to where you purchased them ... just curious how much does it cost

What's the difference between MOB coin and Helium Mobile coin? I don't get it. I've never heard of MOB coin until this video. I thought the wifi hotspots were earning Helium Mobile coin, and the CBRS radios were earning Helium IoT.

I have no idea what these MOB coins even are. I'm assuming he's getting it confused with the helium mobile token. Both the CBRS and Wifi hotspots should be earning the helium mobile token.

The same happened to me. I went from 120k down to 40k even though it’s in a built up development. The map data is a little out of date. The token you were looking at in the video isn’t the Helium Mobile token that was the mobile coin which is a payment service.

POI >1 point of interest with significant foot traffic, POI No Data (0) point of interest no traffic, No POI not a point of interest. Hope that helps. Its all going to be a bit of lottery for each location especially if you are living in the suburban or rural areas where data is not up to date and all the implementation is going to take a bit hit from POC rewards perspective.

That's it. No 18 DBI directional listed in the planner.

@@bluenetmarketingThe directional is just the type of antenna. But the drop down list on the planner doesn’t state directional. Btw you already stated the antenna he’s using. Its the KP performance 18dbi antenna . There are Omni directional and directional antenna aka sector antennas. If you do a bit of a research, you will know the difference and learn all the different types of antennas and see which works best at your location. What I did is, I searched up each individual antenna in that list and learned about them and also created coverage plans for each one to see which one will pay the most for my location.

@@bluenetmarketing Yes i am! The profitability depends on your location and deployment. Also if you’re using a 430i or vs a 436h radio. 436h radios being the most profitable! There are also many different options of antennas as you may know. Each antenna accomplishes a unique and specific task based on your terrain. And yes the 65 degree one. I’m actually selling mine. I have one available if you want one for a discount, it was put up for less than 2 weeks. I recently learned that another type of antenna for my location is more profitable so I just have an 18dbi laying around now that I need to sell and get rid of.
