My wife just had this done two days ago. Make sure you have someone take off work or whatever to be with you for at least 3 days. It is going to absolutely suck and be more painful than you think, but it is worth it.

@@colliersmith7435 I'm 5.5 weeks post-op (surgery got pushed back several days) and honestly it didn't hurt that bad. They gave me a nerve block that worked for about a week. I also got some L0rtab. I only took like 5 total the first week (2 the first day, 2 the second day, and half a pill before bed the 3rd and 4th day), and nothing else afterwards except the regimented aspirin my doctor prescribed. I have a high pain tolerance though. Recovery has been as expected. PT has really really helped a lot with my mobility. All in all, not that terrible. I was more frustrated than in pain. The stupid crutches got in the way of everything.

Soy de Rosario,Argentina.. me acabo de operar hace una semana de pinzamiento femoroacetobular,mi medico me dijo que tuvo que sacarme el labrum porque estaba muy dañado.. mi pregunta es la siguiente.. voy a poder hacer vida normal al no tener el menisco? No digo hacer deporte,si no caminar y trabajar con normalidad.. espero alguna respuesta de algun profesional,o de alguien que haya pasado por lo mismo que yo,muchas gracias. Saludos

I just had the right one done and I'm having the same surgery done on the left hip in November, but my right hip is thriving, because my surgeon is brilliant! I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which could complicate surgery, but I healed up very well and I recommend it to anyone who qualifies for the FAI procedure! My 32nd birthday is on October 10th, so I'm going to skydive this year before my surgery, that way I'll feel ready to go through everything all over again! Hahaha I can't wait! That was my first hip surgery, but I've had 5 knee surgeries, 1 spine surgery and now 1 hip surgery all since I was 18. And after my left hip surgery is done, I'll begin the replacement of my left knee and a partial replacement on the right knee, as long as it's still just a partial, but by then it could need a full replacement 😩😫 it's a lot!
