Dope Review my dude. man I can't take it when chicks be doing the slow grind. I have to hold my composure when that shit goes down lol. And a B.I.G./Finesse album would be dope punchlines for days, love Mary's first two albums when Mary was rocking the baseball jerseys and timbs I had a huge crush lol.

"Dark & Lovely!!!!" That's how the writer or former writer of The Source Magazine described Preemo, Easy, Norman, Lord Digga and the rest of the producers board work on Ready To Die back in 94, remember it like it was yesterday. I read a story in XXL in the late 90's about the making of Unbelievable. That was the last song recorded for Ready To Die. Preemo did that track in sort of a rush because he was getting ready to go on the Gangstarr tour. That's just more evidence of Preems wizardry!!!!!

+immobilarity1 Also, I read an article on the beat making process for "Juicy" and how Poke reinforced the drums and did some other things for that track. A lot of people think he just looped the Mtume sample and that was it. What some don't know is Poke was Puff's go to guy for advanced track making. Nashiem Myrick revealed it in an interview on Dubspots channel. When Nashiem presented the track "Who Shot Ya" to Puff, he wasn't satisfied with the drums, and he told Nashiem to "call Poke!!" Poke gave him a kick and snare that fit that song like a glove. The Hitmen & The Trackmasters, two of the best production teams in hip-hop history in my opinion.

what's crazy is juicy sample was originally meant for Nas but Biggie and puffy took it and the producer had to get the Gap band sample to Nas for life's a bitch
@immobilarity18 жыл бұрын
+DJ Gary i heard about that
@immobilarity18 жыл бұрын
+DJ Gary but im glad that life's a bitch became for what it was, i dont think that it would've had the same impact if it had the mtume sample instead of the gap band sample, good point

+immobilarity1 things work for a reason Nas wouldn't of sounded great on juicy sample Biggie could of killed life's a bitch

I'm just like you, he's not on my MCs of all-time list. Otherwise, Notorious was the major star for the label Bad Boy itself. I was just nine years old at that time. Time flies. That's real talk there brother. I wish that Biggie/Lord Finesse collaboration would've released if it wasn't for Biggie's death. Both Vibe magazine and the media needs to take a fall about Who Shot Ya stuff. He's not one of my favorites as well.
