You have to keep in mind that all of these ABBA vids preceded the MTV era which began in '83, at least a year after the group "packed it up" for good. Grateful for their foresight at a time when virtually no one else was going to the time, trouble, & expense to do so. Their best work? Definitely, the last two albums, very possibly due to all the angst they felt w/ the breakups of the two marriages.

I'm 60 and have been a devotee of ABBA since a winter night in 1977 when I heard The Name of the Game on the radio. I enjoy almost everything but am partial to TNOTG, Knowing Me Knowing You, The Visitors, SOS, Cassandra (beautiful lyric retelling the story of the doomed prophetess cursed to never be believed and who warned of the Trojan Horse), The Piper, Soldiers, Like An Angel Passing Through My Room. Enjoyable to watch you explore the delicious oddity that was this band. Thank you.

The album I like the most is the album that's called just The Album and that's their best period of producing music in my opinion. On The Album you have great songs like Thank you for the music, One man one woman, Move on and not to mention the fantastic Eagle. I'm from Sweden and I've been listening to ABBA all my childhood and they are THE most amazing band I've ever seen or heard. I still listen to them today. I'm borne and raised in the small town where the designer who made their costumes, Owe Sandström, come from, Härnösand, Sweden. You do great reactions on the videos. You can see and hear the talents of these people in a interesting way and you pic up all those fine effects and musical ideas that you can hear in ABBAs music. Great channel! Thumbs up! 😊👍

I have seen all your ABBA-reactions! It is nice to see you get ABBA, who I did grew up with. Best pop-band ever… ABBA-gold has now been over 1000 weeks in top 100 albums in UK, which was released over 10 years after they stopped play together, for almost 40 years at least. It says how popular they still are. The third release came out today Just A Notice, from the new album. It is a happy good one - sound like swedish danceband-music. Then I am surprised you have not reacted to the great ’I have a dream’ - one of their biggest hits!!! Cheers!

Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus (the two "B's" in ABBA...) are two songwriters that definitely think outside the box - and their brilliant play on words is iconic. May I suggest "EAGLE", "HAPPY NEW YEAR" and "VOULEZ-VOUS" by ABBA - great tracks!

Listen to the lyrics! The girls are singing about the loneliness of touring. "Facing 20000 of your friends, how can anyone be so lonely". But, tonight, she's not going to be sad - her lover is in the audience, somewhere out there, though she can't see him as she's blinded by the super trouper lights. That is the "secret" with ABBA - it's always all there in the lyrics.

Lasse directed all but the last 2 videos The Day Before You Come and Under Attack. He would shot 2 videos a day making them very cheap to produce. ABBA are one of the 1st to use videos to promote there songs as they didn’t like to travel too much because Agnetha and Bjorn had 2 young children. Lasse also directed the Film ABBA The Movie. This film followed ABBA 1977 tour of Australia, although the plot line was thin it does contain some excellent live footage

The name "Super Trouper" goes back to the brand of spotlights used at open-air concerts and similar mass events. It is well known that ABBA did not particularly like to go on tour, preferring a calm studio environment; this is reflected in the lyrics of the song, which, in typical ABBA style, is presented as bright and optimistic, but has a touch of sadness in it. "Super Trouper" was another successful single for ABBA, becoming the band's ninth and last No. 1 single in the UK, also reaching the top of the charts in Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands and West Germany. The top 5 submitted to this song in Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Mexico, France and Finland. In the USA, where ABBA never managed to reach a level of popularity close to the world, the single became only No. 45; nevertheless, the song managed to top the Hot Dance Club Play chart.
