I know you already reacted to Doomed from this show so I think you should check out Happy Song cause the pit gives me MAD chills every time dude. With the choir and the orchestra it's like it feeds more emotion and energy into the songs. You could see that even people in the orchestra were singing parts haha Here's a link to the whole show dude kzbin.info/aero/PL-nBwhpwdfvkGCmcpgNm7lEnJrzR1Fmsk Hopefully that works. Also, I've meant to see why he puts his hand on his chest like that too and I wondered if it had anything to do with checking where he's getting his breath from as he sings to make sure he's doing it correctly??

I love your BMTH serie, you should keep listening their evolution through almbums until you get to amo. And if you are wondering, yes he writtes all of his lirycs. Also if you want to know if he still can scream you really have to react to these live perform video, its just sick: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gXLSlp-ha8yJpa8

My theory about his hand on his belly, when he's singing: It's better for him to control the breath/air than
@davidescristofaros22415 жыл бұрын
Lol it's more probably because of the suffering imo

It's to push air out as needed, if you need to go loud or go for really long notes. Sometimes high ones
@r00kie364 жыл бұрын
That is the main reason. It can also be used to help with the shouting, that is a "scream" but without that much distortion. example at 8:30 "This is"
@InsaneInsomniac15 жыл бұрын
Oli has always had a very unique singing/screaming voice to me. I can tell him apart form other vocalists, which is something special in the genre. His style also is difficult, which is what led to him damaging his vocal cords a while back. He can transition between singing and screaming in the same word though, which is impressive and helps give BMTH’s songs a lot of emotion. Also, I’ve always taken the hand on his stomach as both a force of habit and a way to tell if he’s using his diaphragm enough so he doesn’t damage his throat.
@carolinecoy316411 ай бұрын
Same. I got into while she sleeps, as a whole they're great, but the vocalist alone doesn't do it for me. and I heard silence speaks,and it just went for 50 to 100% while Oli does His lil part. Such a bad ass. Only sad that is only like 30 seconds long. And his lice performances have improved so much every year. Seeing them in Jan. Sad AF Jordan not going to be there though. They were the perfect duo. He matched oli's vocals in the bkground perfectly.v gutted
@gulaschniggo99295 жыл бұрын
He isn't holding his chest, he is holding his diaphragm. If you scream/sing through your diaphragm, it doesn't damage your vocal chords. So he does it to check, if he is using the right singing technique.

During this concert Oli was recovering from an operation hence his hand was over his chest to releave the pain.. The money from this peformance was gfted to Cancxer Research UK as his real life friend recently fo8ght and recovered from bone cancer one of his songs in this concert is dedicated to his friend. you have to listen and react to that, its called DROWN.

I saw them in St. Louis a few weeks back while they’re still on their amo tour and brought a friend along who never saw them before. We both agreed that they sound infinitely better live vs studio. When you see them live, you gain a newfound respect for them; so few bands can do what they do
