You're right about the video game connection, but this it's to Metal Gear Solid from 1998 (which got re-released recently funny enough)--The main setting of the first game is called Shadow Moses Island

They got their name from jack sparrows line at the end of curse of the black pearl where he says "Now bring me that horizon" They changed that to the to make it sound better 😂 This was the one song I wanted to see them play live when they played good things melbourne, they played it midset and I was a happy chappy 🤟🤟🤟

Y'all need to check out "A Day To Remember". FANTASTIC band that was one of the first bands to mix guterql screams and clean vocals. "Downfall of Us All" "Monument" or their latest "Miracle" are all great tracks. "Mr. Highway's Thinking of the End" is also a banger

One of the best and most diverse bands for genres they cover. You should check out Happy Song for more of a straight rock jam, Lost for more of a punk pop emo jam, and you can go all the way back to the beginning and listed to one of their original death metal hits Pray for Plagues.

I don't hear much slipknot in there at all. Maybe their heavier sound, but linkin park from Sempiternal onwards at times in a big way. But better. Yeah I know he's dead so I should think they're the best band that ever lived😮(it's very sad he's gone fr). But they Only made 1 great album imo. The rapper guy ruined songs, it's like they put him in every song even when it didn't go at all. That ruined it for me. But hybrid theory is amazing. Can't deny that.❤

I always thought it was because the theme of that album being that it was when he finally got off drugs and was wanting to make an album with lyrical guidance like Moses but the misfits and self harmers especially with the final song hospital for souls and sleepwalking

The way I see the meaning of the song is oli struggling with his awful habits of drinking and drugs. Hence the opening lines "i thought I buried you, "severed the feeling" Or maybe speaking on depression in general, where you thought you've put all the shit behind you, but it keeps coming back

They started off as deathcore, moved onto metalcore and think they've covered a mixture of nu metal pop/rock/ metal. Guess they just do what you original said. They just make music. Their newest song Darkside is very different again. They've also made a couple dances tracks.. nihilist blues ft grimmes and wish I could forget with slander and blackbear. Some if their collabs are so damned good though . Ed Sheeran bad habits (rick version)Live at the brit awards.❤ Get this party started with Tom morello. Silence speaks with while she sleeps. Another great band Btw. And Code mistake with corpse. Trap metal. Just so many to mention. They try everything. AmEN with lil Uzi vert and glassjaw. That slaps. 😊
