I am 51 years old so I grew up with all these 80's bands. It was such a great time for music. There were so many great ones but I guess my favorites were Bon Jovi and Def Leppard. Jon Bon Jovi still writes and sings to this day. He has been married to his wife for over 30 years. You should watch an interview with him and his wife. They have the JBJ Foundation. They help the homeless, veterans and many others in need. They did alot for people during covid. They are truly amazing.

I’m 53 years old so I grew up listening to the song I remember hearing it for the first time on the radio and I was obsessed with that there are certain songs that you listen to in certain videos that you watch and it really brings you back and you feel like you were just there and this song is one of those songs for me. The memories that I get flowing back when I listen to it watch the video is amazing. This song is a masterpiece

Wow…amazing, so much energy! And no autotune or lip syncing. Those were the days… My fav song is Blaze Of Glory, Jon’s single venture which he wrote for the movie Young Guns 2.

10:01 - Funny you should say that you're favorite Bon Jovi song is You Give Love A Bad Name since that's the song that they usually pair with Livin On A Prayer when they open a show with it, and you better believe that was the follow up to Prayer at that show if you want to react to it. I think it's easily one of the best song combo's of all time and I was lucky enough to see the band play these two songs together last year in Nashville. You could tell it was a tough tour on his voice but Jon still brought the energy to the crowd that night when he started the song in the audience right as the house lights first went out. I would highly recommend watching more of their live performances. I would argue they are one of the greatest live acts of all time, especially since they are historically pretty flexible in what songs they'll play at each show. You never know for sure what you'll hear at a Bon Jovi show, unlike some bands where you can see them once on a tour and basically know what to expect on almost any other night.

This whole album was 🔥🔥🔥🔥Slippery When Wet. My cousins had never listened to Rock. My older brother am I were music heads. He was eleven years older so I listened to a variety of music. He listened to what I was into. One Saturday we were relaxing outside and I played slippery when wet. HE LOVED THE ALBUM. His sister today says he played it until he couldn’t anymore. I still say sometimes when asked how I am doing, I am living on a prayer. The other song is: I WALKED THESE STREETS A LOADED SIX STRING ON MY BACK, I PLAY IT FOR KEEPS BECAUSE I MAY NOT MAKE IT BACK. I BEEN EVERYWHERE, YET I AM STILL STANDING TALL, I BEEN A MILLION PLACES AND I’VE ROCKED THEM ALL. I AM A COWBOY ON A STEEL HORSE I RIDE, I AM WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Great reaction guys, I love seeing diverse people react to my favorite band. Bon Jovi. I was lucky enough to ride with a cool kid to school, he didn't like bon Jovi so he gave me the cassette. Cassette. That was in 1983. They have been my favorite band ever since. I have seen them in concert five times and had tickets to a 6th but a family emergency prevented me from going. They are the five best concerts I have ever seen in person and I have seen well over 150 concerts. @Fenom202 I absolutely loved what you said about music and diversity. Diversity is what makes this country great, I don't know why conservatives can't understand that, getting to enjoy each other's company, learn from each other's experiences, appreciate culture, music, food and a different way of seeing the world around us is what makes us stronger as a nation and a community. I enjoy a very broad music appreciation as well. There are some songs I just have to crank in my Camaro, family affair by Mary j. Blige, killing me softly by the fugees, yeah by usher, I think it's usher, and of course bon Jovi, I love Eminem, I still listen to Abba, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, I don't care what genre it is. Is if it's good. It's good. If I like it. I like it, if someone else doesn't that's okay, no one's musical taste is going to be identical. Anyway, I'm going to follow you guys because I would love to see more reactions by you. Oh, and my favorite concert was the New Jersey tour, I was dating my ex-wife, we drove from Great falls Montana to Kalispell Montana to pick her up, then we drove to Spokane to spend the night. The next evening we drove to Pullman Washington, Washington State University, to watch the concert. They opened with lay your hands on me. They started to admit smoke or fog over the stage. The band was under the stage. You could hear their instruments practicing, it sounded a little like an orchestra preparing for a concert. And then it toned down. Joh started talking to the audience. There was flashes of light like lightning. And then he started singing. Lay your hands on me. Over and over. And when the guitar hit, he shot out from under the stage through the fog 10 ft in the air, at least it felt like that. We were 20 feet away from him. That was the loudest I've ever heard. Any audience ever. It was easily well over 100 decibels and louder than any sporting event I'd ever been to or any other concert. And when it came to, I'll be there for you, one of their best songs, the spotlight went on my ex-wife, 3 ft long blonde hair, hourglass figure, and he sang that song to her. She was difficult to live with anyway, but damn that made it harder for a while. Anyway, keep up the great work, take care.

He was using a Talk Box at the start. It's really just a little speaker that takes the guitar signal and feeds it into a tube that the player puts in their mouth. Then, just like their mouths form words with the vibrations from their vocal chords, they just use the guitar sounds coming out of the tube instead. Many players have used it to good effect, but *Peter Frampton* is the epitome of its use, if you check out his song *Do You Feel* from *The Midnight Special. One note guys--I'm often most interested in your younger member's--OlliWoodda's--comments, but he tends to speak lowly, and mumble. If he could elocute more clearly, I am very interested in what he has to say. I just don't like having to rewind it a bunch of times to figure out what it was. But thanks for the hard work you put in. I'm interested in your thoughts. Also BTW, as to your rhetorical question: they didn't *need* festivals. Every major rock group could still fill stadiums on their own.

I live on New Jersey, have since the mid sixties, and have never seen Bon Jovi live. I've seen Springsteen and Southside Johnny a number of times back in the mid seventies. All 3 are Jersey guys, the thing I believe is, Bon Jovi's fans came from an area farther north from where I live. Bruce and Southside were regular staples at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park Bon Jovi played at a club that was filled with a slightly younger crowd that didn't mix well with crowd I hung with. I enjoy his music, but never saw him.

Richie Sambora (guitar) is using a Hiel Talk Box. An airtube is connected to the side of the microphone, and also the box, and this is run through a separate amplifier. Think , Frampton, Joe Walsh, and David Gilmour all use this in the 70s. This technology went on to develop the pitch correct in 1979 (out of key singers voices would match the key of the match with it, like early auto tune. )
