Finally someone put this up here! This is how we danced to 90's hip hop! It's funny when I see B-Boys( under age 25) today B-boying to 90's Hip hop when alot of them don't know that there was a dance style called Freestyle Hip Hop from the East Coast that they(we) would dance to. House dancing was from back then too but it's getting known now. Nice post!

I was inspired to kno that my style wasn't the only one when i first saw this back in 1992-1993. Big ups to the Mop Top Fam... from Phyzical Poetz/Cave Boyz/ and Consistant Boogie crews. The crews I was with back in Pomona, Ca.

the illest hiphop bboy DOCUMENTARY ever made. Im 32 years old now and I thought I never see this again. And this style of bboying is never talked about even in hiphop which is sad cuz as hophop fans we should study all aspects of the culture, for real this is where KRUMP got its style from. By the way one of the katz in this DOC went by the name of peekaboo who used to dance for KWAME

House style just like breaking dancing and floor rock before it is just mixing different dance styles together House is dancing to the beats and sometimes even the scratches of the music one of many crews that started and is a Pioneer of the house style is Quali-D crew from Stockton ca now his from Vagas He has taken his style of House and has everything to elavate the the culture House is just a nother way that we found to express our selves in the House party's or at the clubs though it got heated sometimes it was all a growing experience Shout out to Weberstown Mall and Growers Hall from support us young dudes in the 90s

I remember watching all music videos with free style dancing and learning these different styles back in 90’. Buddah Stretch deserves all the credit for creating this particular freestyle of dance in the early 90s. The Mop Tops were way ahead of their time. I will take this dance style any day over today’s dancinig!

Those were the good ol' days when the music and the moves where tantamount. Even the average dancer had crazy steps. More and more, i see people with no steps DJ worshipping.

This style is almost extinct but a few of us in Texas can still dance like this & some of us evolved it & dance to it to Nu Skool Breaks music now. If you want to see some of these dancers, check out Romeo Navarro, who also throws a B-Boy event in Austin TX called B-Boy City. Voodoo Child is another one & he throws Battle of the Alamo in my home city San Antonio TX. Karma in S.A. & myself Acid but im currently living in Phoenix AZ. Some vids of us are in the works.

Dancing is supposed to evolve, but i don't think today's dancers ( 30+ years later) can hold a candle to these guys. The moves, the flexibility. I am sure it helped that they were in new York, where the competition was high and you had to bring your A game

mannn i always forget that the hiphop pickup note is usually a snare, i usually make it a kick. anybody know why that is? is it from house music, where eq settings dull the higher pitches? is it something to do with the way dj's mixed? where did that note come from?
