They’d sampled it from Summer Breeze by Ramsey Lewis, but the Little Simz version is an ode to Jurassic 5 imo, with that lo-fi sound. Concrete Schoolyard. But yeah, totally get the Tribe Called Quest reference - Lou Reed sample that was, though, I think.

Why is it with you guys that the artist or song has to be like something else. At the beginning while she was paying homage to Kendrick. Which you missed she said pay homage to how we came up. Almost every scene pays homage to one rapper or another. The last scene pays homage to Lauryn Hill. BTW I think she's Nigerian. The accent is south londonesque.
