This is the video that healed some very chronic hip and nerve issues for me. Do these exercises religiously, and if this is your issue, you will find healing. I’m seeing my hip PT next week and curious your take. I look forward to trying these. There is additional blunting and degeneration of the anterior aspect of my superior labrum. I highly recommend this 3T imaging. It took 15 months to finally get an accurate diagnosis for me, being in pain or discomfort nearly every day.

how can you fix FAI when there is extra bone grew on the acetabular?
@AskDoctorJo6 жыл бұрын
It can be a deformity at the acetabulum or the femur, but that is not usually the problem, it is the result of the problem. These often form from imbalances causing rubbing because the joint is not moving how it's suppose to. If you can correct the imbalances with proper stretches and exercises, it no longer continues to cause damage.

Thank you, I subscribed to your channel, I have FAI type CAM, I used a stationary bike but I felt pain, do you recommend to continue??? also I cant do most of your exercises although I am cleared for exercises
@AskDoctorJo4 жыл бұрын
You're welcome, and thanks for subscribing. Sometimes you can adjust the seat higher, and it won't impinge as much, but generally if it's painful, it's probably worth trying something else.

Can you put videos how to do split with fai

Dr Jo, when I lie on my back and try to bring my left knee straight back up to my chest, I feel a pinch and I cannot continue. I can bring my left knee back up toward my chest if I go more lateral with no problem. Is that hip impingement, because it feels like something is getting pinched. Thank you for all your videos!

You're welcome! Unfortunately, that's really not enough information to know. That could be a few different things.

Hi Dr Jo, what kind of pillow are u using for this video? Thanks
@AskDoctorJo3 жыл бұрын
The one I’m using is called the Womfy, but it’s no longer available. I have reviewed another pillow I really like from SleepOvation. You can learn more about it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rF6xomunopyFh80

I have patellofemoral syndrome and issues with hip impingement and weakness. I'm sure the two are connected. I started doing your recommended stretching/exercises yesterday for my knees and I'll be adding them in from this video too. I love lifting weights, cycling, and running but cannot do any of those right now due to pain and discomfort. Thank you for your content it is greatly appreciated!

Started my first day today. Left hip has been bugging me since I nailed it on an embedded rock that I came down on all dirt biking. It's been two years, I feel my hip getting a little weaker, and starting to affect my lower back. I hope these exercises help. Thank you for the wonderful video.
