I fell just before Covid and ended up with a tear. I’ve done physical therapy and injections and I’m still in pain.

This was most helpful. Thank you for sharing your expertise. I have a labrum tear and it hurts like crazy all day and night. I am waiting on a 2/17/25 orthopedic appointment.

This is just what I needed to hear. I am working with my surgeon at the moment in Australia. We are looking at a steroid injection, and if that doesn't work arthroscopy. But also working with a physiotherapist too. And resting too. I found your other two injection suggestions very interesting. Do surgeons in Australia know about those options?

So far after doing some googling around, I'm of the impression that labral tissue won't heal itself like a wound would, but what's confusing is then seeing that surgery is being done on labral tissue, like for example, some tissue might be sewn to the existing labral tissue or bone area and some how that added or sewn cartilage is able to heal. So if that's the case then just wondering why we can't be very hopeful that the torn labral cartilage will heal on its own? thanks for any insights!
