The only thing with people peddling to work they need a shower at work. I know because for year I peddled to work in Calgary. Well parked at Deerfoot mall and peddled to foothills industrial park. We had showers at work though, because no matter what you think…you do smell a little if you just cycle and go straight into the office. Starting to see these electric bikes everywhere in Alberta. It’s great for the older folks who would never peddle a normal bike often.

Yes, when I rode to work back in my triathlon days it was 37km each way and we had showers at work. With e-bikes though you don't even get sweaty so it's less of a problem.

Great review. IF I were able to buy an eBike, I would need one that can handle steep inclines. I work from home, so commuting is a non-issue. When I did work onsite, I rode when the weather permitted. In Eastern Washington State where I used to live, the riding season was reasonably long at about 8-9 months. I would ride most days, weather not-withstanding.

Yes, anywhere mountainous that motor has to work hard and range will definitely suffer.

Ha, ha. Thanks! We rode a loaner Gold Wing to Ottawa last summer and the majority of bicycles I saw there were electric. They're huge right now.
