All the things many people think but never say out loud, so it never gets resolved. I especially love the bridge where he talks about the cycle continuing, placing blame, and how divided we are. The song also takes accountability for both sides. Joyner really outdid himself here.

@kenjisxsad54044 жыл бұрын
It explains the whole problem that’s been going on for hundreds of years. Especially in the early/mid 1900s. Racism and division between both Black and White people isn’t necessarily a skin colour issue it’s a mindset issue. Racist people exist because of past issues between races and because they held onto that and spread their toxic point of view and infected other people. All people despite origin deserve love and peace, we should all get on and not see colour because deep down we’re all the same, we’re all human after all and at the end of the day skin colour/appearance doesn’t matter it’s who you are who determines who you are. Spread love not hate. And this is from the perspective of a white person. I mean sure I may have been “racist” in the past (when I was a kid) I thought it was strange that other people have different skin colour and then I learned that it wasn’t strange and that it was a normal part of humanity. But I guess we were all kind of like that as a kid because we were naive and hadn’t really seen the world.

@@justaguyonyoutube there is objective good and evil. It's objectively good to help someone in need and objectively evil to murder. That's according to pretty much any culture, ever. It's more nuanced than that, of course, but on a really basic level you're just wrong. There is an inborn moral compass - it isn't all nature or all nurture. And that makes complete sense, just in an evolutionary sense. Good and evil may or may not be "just" human conceptions, I won't claim one or the other as truth, but it's either dishonest or naive to suggest that they don't exist. They certainly do, as ideas, or we wouldn't be talking about it in the first place. All or nothing approaches to complex and nuanced issues are silly. You're making a very extraordinary claim and presenting a self-assured veneer as if you know the truth. People have argued these things for thousands of years and we will likely continue arguing these things for thousands more. A little humility wouldn't kill you; you don't have all the answers.

I’m an “Euro-American” and I have a biracial son, he is technically my step son, (his biological father is black) and he has known this his whole life but he is my son, he has 3 brothers that are my biological kids but he has told me that he didn’t feel any different from them, thank God! So I have had a unique view of the racial issue(s) in this country. I have worked with people for years and as soon as they learn that my oldest son is “black” you can see the thought process with them realizing all the racist things they have said to or around me or they will actually change the way they interact with me! The sad part is, some people don’t even know that they are racist, they actually think their attitude is great, I have to explain to them why their point of view is the “racism” that is the problem. The racism the kkk burdens humanity with is easy to defeat, but the racism that most people have is hard to overcome. When people see a black man, not just a man, like every other man, that is hard to counteract. When people are so blind to the truth they say that “there isn’t disadvantages facing minorities today, they have the same, if not more, opportunity than anyone!”, it drives me crazy. Until white people in America can see people for who they are and not the color of their skin, nothing is going to change. Until people see a person, not a black or brown or white person but a person, that day will be a great day. I hope I am still around to witness it,.......peace be with you all.

Trying to protest against Black Lives Matter, which to me sounds like you're saying black lives dont matter. If your not racist after that then you are most definitely ignorant.

Im 16 and I get the meaning. I always looked at both sides of the story, but due to something that happened my vision got cloudy and I just started blaming the wrong people. This song really helped me get back to my old self. People shouldn't focus on the past to much, it only causes hatred and suffering. Stay strong ✌💯💯✌

Back in my wild days, my favorite drug dealer was black. One time he told me the cops in my state were racist and they'd pulled him over just because he was black and assumed that meant he was criminal. I responded "but you are a drug dealer" and he said "yeah but those n*ggas didn't know that", then we both started laughing hysterically lol.

What is integrity and is it valuable anymore?

I was lol. Here is a bit I wrote for my students to try to relate to them. Every time I’m in a school I feel miniscule Sit down and do your work; obey the rules Just staring into space; I feel like a fool I hate this place and their damned rules I get treated like a kid; shit, I am grown Since I have been little; I’ve made it on my own I don’t need no help; it don’t matter none I am my own family; I am number one I’m living on the streets, can’t say it no other way I’m living on the streets, living day to day I’m living on the streets, without a long term plan I’m living on the streets, I’ll take it right outta yo’ hand I will steal and burglarize and sell all that I can I will stack my cheese in the palm of my right hand Don’t you turn your back; you don’t understand You are not my friend; I am what I am I don’t have a job, and I work the streets I am living for today and that is all I need I put food in my mouth and all my clothes are fine You really ain’t nothing if you haven’t done no time I’m living on the streets, can’t say it no other way I’m living on the streets, living day to day I’m living on the streets, without a long term plan I’m living on the streets, I’ll take it right outta yo’ hand My life is what it is, no one sees the things I see For all that I have wronged, this is my penalty It just goes to show that there was no plan for me Living in this hell is my eternity I should’ve stayed in school, I should have tried my best It’s hard when your support needs more and you get less No one read me stories when I was very young Mom and dad were not around; their life was getting drunk If only someone cared and could see through all my pain Maybe then just maybe, I could start to build again A little bit of hope, a sign that life is good Until that day happens, you’ll find me in the ‘hood
