This is gold content. You deserve so much more views. Its ridiculous how those tic toc gimmic videos blow up but quality content like this remains hidden gems. But your still making a huge impact in dance. Keep it up.

In a time where teachers are teaching such complex lessons to their students, they quite often forget or drift away from understanding that foundation, that is the basic and the most important lesson to preach.

Wow, I really loved this first video. I will be sure to watch the rest. Even though I danced a lot of hip hop (choreography) in my younger years nobody focused on the foundations much less deepen our understanding of foundations. I’m beginning to see we really can do so much in hip hop dance if we really play around and become creative with the foundations alone. I will be sure to practice my foundations using this advice right away. I also really love the way this class is taught in helping the dancers to understand their own voice/groove. The teacher is also really articulate at explaining. Thanks so much for this content!

Thank you for posting this! It’s so nice to find some resources for the culture. So affirming to watch! I remember growing up in the 80s having this in my body so to grow up on the foundation vs choreo dance has been a transition. As a dance educator, I focus on providing Hip Hop foundation training to help break down certain stereotypes on how Hip Hop is portrayed. Seeing this video def means a lot. Thank you and I look forward to seeing more!

I would like to say that I was really lost before this and didn't know how to start so thank you very much for this and I have a question if you can answer, to learn all of this do I need to have a certain level of dancing skills or I can do it from actually zero?
@beyondthemoves9 ай бұрын
You can start from zero by practicing the bounce and the rock until you feel them naturally in your moves these are the foundations so that’s a good way to start

My problem is i don't really enjoy doing this exersize like same move over and over again how can i enjoy doing it ?
@beyondthemoves2 жыл бұрын
I used to feel the same way so I totally understand 😊, but at some point, we have to do the tedious work to reach a much higher level. You don't have to do the same moves over and over again. There are plenty of creative ways you can play with the foundations. If you really want to constantly progress in the long run then details are crucial.
