Why Dr Dre Never Respected The Game

The Game has never made things easy for himself since he entered the spotlight. Even as he racked up platinum selling albums, he constantly found himself embroiled in controversy and engaging in feuds. And now, it seems like that tendency to speak first and consider the possible ramifications of it later has cost him his treasured relationship with Dr Dre.

Most hood folk are their own worse enemies just to keep it real. You either from the hood but you a regular person that grow up in the culture or you're from the hood and you are a person that partakes in the negativity of the culture. Game and 50 cent are on the negative side BUT 50 learned to be more business and less street as he grew and game did not. Game let his ego and street emotionally unstable sensitivity get the best of him. A lot of dude's get popped the same way in the street or get hands put on them. 50 got invited, Em got invited, Snoop got invited, Kendrick got invited, Anderson Paak, what do they all got in common? They're all either not ignorant street folks or more business than street just like Jay Z became hence the Super Bowl invitation. Game is the only one of the group who is still more of a ghetto street ninja that don't know how to act.

The documentary was not five times platinum five times platinum does not mean 5 million worldwide that’s 5 million domestically. If you do it like that then there’s a whole lot of albums that should be Dimond that only sold 5 million but if you go five times platinum that means you sold 5 million in the United States he didn’t do that. He sold 2.5 million in the United States, the album went double platinum, but in total worldwide sold 5 million.

He sold 5 million records. Even if this is true, it's a rather meaningless distinction that has more to do with semantics than substance. 5 Million records is fucking 5 million records. If anything selling 5 million distributed across the world it is a great achievement because it means your influence spread global even if you're not officially 5x Platinum in America because of some meaningless technicality.

@@alchemisoulofficial oh, absolutely, I’m not saying it’s not. I’m just saying the album was not five times platinum. I didn’t mean it as a way to disgrace him in anyway, and I love that album by the way. I’ve just seen some people get the two mixed up. if he would’ve went five times platinum that would’ve meant the album would be right around 10 million worldwide. Back then whatever you did domestically you would also sell about the same amount outside the United States. For example, both D2 albums Sold 2 million domestically and then they sold 2 million outside the United States so both their albums sold around 4 million worldwide.

@bdr113080 I get what you're saying. That's probably true now but I think that was almost uniquely true for Shady/Aftermath affiliated artists doing those numbers internationally for a long tjme. It's forwn do much larger now but the Interscope S/A/G-Unit success worldwide was pretty unmatched for a while forhip hop overseas. I remember in 2004, being in Malta, when there was a lot of big bangers plsying and then a non single Obrie Trice record came on. That wasn't a big record over here. If was dope but onkt if you ate up whatever rhose label artists were purting out. He wasn't that big but he was with em so it probably trickled down to all of his associated artists. I was with it but I was really surprised to hear that. I like Jadakiss, Trick Daddy, and Cam'Ron but I wonder if they or even Jay-Z or Nas were doing the same matching numbers internationally in that early-mid 2000's era.

The Game is immature, and he is a boy jealous of his Idol Dr. Dre not showing love to him. After all he is really a great N.W.A. fan almost a fanboy really, but above all he has an obsession with Dre - and Eazy-E in his early years. I wonder what Ice Cube thought about that Super Bowl show by the way. Anyway, not only Game is childish insisting in living his fantasy of being a super thug from L.A. (that he never was not even before his fame) he is no businessman either. I mean he is not dumb, if you listen to his interviews he actually sounds more articulate than most of those younger rappers from Chiraq or Louisiana, but he obviously screwed his career by - ironically -not understanding how to play the game. I recognize the brother had his place in the 2000s, but that era is gone, and his mind stuck there or something.

I kinda fell off with 50 Cent after Curtis and the last The Game Album I enjoyed was The Documentary 2 & 2.5. It just sucks to see how The Game’s actions have cost him a lot. It just feels like he’s washed up and attention seeking with his more recent antics. I do wish that 50 Cent can come out with some music too. It feels like forever since he made an album.
