@sharkyh73273 күн бұрын
I guess that’s why he was most hurt when he got shot and biggie was there. He probably didn’t think biggie set him up but he thought biggie would atleast know who so why not tell me, I’ve done so much for you and you can’t do this. Then who shot ya came out. I can understand it from biggies perspective if he didn’t know and pac is still going around telling people he did but then I can see both of their sides from that perspective. Now if biggie did know and didn’t explicitly tell him, then he’s not friend, maybe biggie knew but was scared to let pac know cos biggie was scared henchman and jack would do something to him. Maybe he was angry cos pac told Jack that biggie told him to stay away from Jack and biggie got robbed so thought u know what puff told me pac was gonna get robbed and taught a lesson, “maybe he needs the lesson and is going too crazy”. It’s all just confusing and sad to be fair cos it seemed to like both pac and biggie were friends and hip hop/money and other people split a good friendship.

My boy Dracula had ALL the good information!😂 But seriously though, this is the BEST analysis of the beef I’ve seen thus far. I remember everything. We thought “Who Shot Ya” was about LL Cool J and Tupac, loaded with sub liminal disses. Also, Tupac rebelled against the Establishment, while Puff used it as a cover for his dirty deeds. It makes sense in 2024 how Puff would link with all of Pac’s enemies: Jack, Jimmy, NYPD, etc. They wanted to silence him. Suge saw an opportunity to support Pac to benefit his label, and well, the alliances were what they were. BIG was the only one who didn’t get to choose a side, and because he didn’t it was chosen for him.

47:45 But if pac refused to manage him because he believed that puff would make Biggie a star this statement leans towards being false. Puffy had worked with successful acts like Heavy D, Mary and Jodeci and he too would have steered Biggie into making playa songs, puff made him do juicy and had more experience shaping artists than pac. Biggie started off doing guest appearances on female catered songs like real love remix and dolly my baby, pacs only playa song at that point was “I get around’’ his true female centered songs were about their plight ( brendas baby, keep ya head up etc) not a bunch really playa songs. I agree that biggie should have gave pac credit for helping him tho.

👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 very good once again.. this explains 2pac has always had a point. We all have to remember some of you will not know this, but back then, the person who got picked on was considered the bad guy. The punk what pac did how he came back is LEGENDARY . I also felt like the line from “ who shot yah “ when biggie says “p*say when I want” was a little slick inner jab at PAC and his case against that women basically biggie saying he can get it whenever and he doesn’t have to “force” it because like you said it’s was then alleged that pac was forceful even though we now know that pac was set up with that but back then it was a pretty fresh wound and definitely something that would sting a little to hear in a bar

42:43 The whole death talk argument levied against Biggie seems unfounded. For one Biggie was asked in an interview about his album title and explained that he was paranoid and smoking alot of weed. For two, in the title track biggie explained that he was stressed from his mom’s cancer diagnosis and his baby moma on top of being broke. Even if pac felt that way he doesn’t own the concept of someone being depressed or wishing for death, big had his own reasons. 1:30 of this video taken from the show documentary in 1995 he says it himself. kzbin.info/www/bejne/amimaHuBjKl0aNE&ab_channel=ConartLA

43:20 having the same Isley sample as a tupac song isn’t “getting an Idea from pac’’ besides the beat the theme comes from Bigs own voice being sampled, Big poppa is about biggie himself being a playa inspired by his own line. Da brat had the exact same sample in may 94 with funkdified, how come her and JD didn’t accuse pac or big from “talking their idea’’ when her single came out 1st and went platinum? If pac actually did feel some way about this it doesn’t make any sense.
