This is by far the most in-depth and accurate documentary about the 2Pac and Biggie beef ever. As a huge Pac fan myself, I thought I knew it all, but this video revealed so many details I didn’t know before. There was so much research put into this-going through old documentaries, articles, interviews, newspapers, dissecting lyrics from various albums, the amount of time and energy spent on this is mind-blowing. We can only imagine how many countless hours it took to put this together. Thank you Hip-Hop Universe, appreciate you big dawg!

"That was the type of leader Tupac wanted to become when he came out of prison. He was done playing the nice guy that tries to fight for everybody's rights. He was done empowering women, making political songs about racial inequality, trying to unite the thugs from every ghetto and just making everybody happy." Not true. He has an interview talking about "All Eyez On Me" - I believe the second one with Chuck Philips - where he explained his approach to the album was to make music that was celebratory and to vent his frustrations and promised that on his next albums he'd go back to deeper and introspective content like his "Me Against the World" album. Heck, during and after the "All Eyez On Me" sessions he'd write songs like I Ain't Mad At Cha, Shorty Wanna Be a Thug, Wonder Why They Call U B*tch, Better Dayz, Da Struggle Continuez (this one is specifically about unifying), Smile, Letter 2 My Unborn, Who Do U Believe In, Never Call U B*tch Again, Unconditional Love (OG), Until the End of Time (OG), Thugz Mansion, Mama's Just a Little Girl, Words 2 My Firstborn (OG), Happy Home (OG), Baby Don't Cry (Keep Ya Head Up II), They Don't Give A F*** About Us, Blasphemy, To live & Die in L.A., White Manz World, Hold Ya Head, Krazy, and The Good Die Young amongst others you can view as women empowering, uplifting, and/or political. He'd also mention in interviews how he wanted to end the beefs (i.e. One Nation album), start various community programs, and his intention of creating a new political party within the next few years. The Outlawz and other people who knew him talked about how he wanted to use his harder music to capture people's ears so that he could reach them, "Give them what they wanted to hear; then give them what they needed to hear.", and how he was about over all of the beef stuff in those last days at least when it came to Notorious Big. It seems people tend to get caught up in the beef and think 2pac was all anger and aggression after going under Death Row Records but he really wasn't. Besides those he was having trouble with and whatever that entailed (the Machiavellian scheming and all) if you pay attention he was pretty much the same person.

From what i ve understood so far from the first 2 videos, PAC really loved Big but was wrong at going at Biggie like he did. Big should have been loyal to Pac for every things he has done before he blew up. The biggest mistakes Big has done was to released ''who shot ya,and get money remix. That fuelled up all the negatives feelings Pac had at that time.

@@omaricoleman9753 that really doesn't makes sense because Pac has a bigger discography, bestselling albums and is well-known around the world. Big's a good rapper but rap has a bigger meaning than just bars and few people placing him over PAC also doesn't seem to grapple this simple concept. My problem is that Big is not even a valid comparison to Pac, he just got along by starting a beef and that's what puffy wanted. Big was just another rapper rapping about random shit like other 40 rappers. Pac had high energy bars and delivery while making a statement in every song and big had low beat simple bars talking about random shit which seemed good cause they suit his style. Everyone has their opinion but I don't think big is even a valid comparison to Pac in any way. We could compare Eminem/Has to him because of no.of albums sold or any other tangible thing to compare with. Wordplay is easy but facts define why Pac is so popular. Rap is more complex than just spitting bars and talking about rando shit..

@@active__nihilist1 bruh there’s no way u typed a whole essay trying to discredit The notorious Big… one of the greatest rappers of all time. Biggie was born to rap. He was on the corner as a teen battle rapping , basement freestyles and all. His first 2 albums are literally 2 of the greatest rap albums of all time… he’s remixes , guest features , story telling and wrote a whole album for his crew. He did all that in 3.5 years… The world is LUCKY he didn’t get to reach his full potential… he was a Problem in a short time. Also BIGGIE DIDNT START NO BEEF with Pac… Pac had problems with Haitian Jack and Jimmy henchman.

on a level this is what happens when you don't communicate with people, everyday tupac and biggie didn't talk, tupac loathed him more and more to the point of him making moves that led their friendship to a point of no return. As kendrick said you got to peace it up before the history is lost. Look at Nas and tupac, all it took was one conversation and they were cool.

While beefing with Pac, Biggie probably felt like if he put out a diss Pac could turn around the very next day and put out a better one….then drop two or three more. It’s not unreasonable to think that had they both lived, 2Pac could’ve stunted Biggie’s career as long as the beef continued. I don’t know about writers block in general, but it’s easy to see how beefing with a much more vicious opponent felt hopeless to BIG.
