+Rudi Jetten Thanks Rudi. You have probably seen similar lamps made by Petromax of Germany. It's a fun hobby to fix up the old lanterns and get them running again. I bet your Dad would like it! :)

Wow interesting I've never heard of these before just oil Lamps. So it's works as a gas lamp. Are they brighter than oil lamps? How long does a full tank last?

Question: Does fuel control knob absolutely cut off the fuel or does it rotate endlessly?

Hi! I used a combination of #0000 steel wool, and liquid metal polish with soft cloth and just buffed and buffed. :)

Looks like you need a pump knob and new glass globe for your lantern
