I've always been a hippie all my life (because I'm a nature girl and a pagan witch) and I didn't realize that I am until my mom (she's somewhat a bit of a punk with hippie elements and Morticia Addams-core) told me that I'm a hippie 2 years ago. So, the more I researched about the hippie movement and about myself, the more I embraced my authenticity and my hippie way of life.✌☮ edit: I also knit and crochet, so once I move out to live my own life after college, I'll have my own hippie closet.

Yeah that's so true, but I guess they just mean people like to stereotype hippies and "typical" hippie clothing and what they stand for, associating the style and lifestyle with tie dye and headbands, when its way more than that. Being a hippie doesn't mean dressing any kinda way either, it's all lifestyle and state of mind, like you said.

They were not shit talking them. They were pointing out the commercialized version of hippies that turned into the steretype of them. The tiedye, weed, acid, shrooms, being really dirty, the flower headbands, peace signs, etc etc. The hippie costumes you see are not really hippie. That was the point.

Theres this one town near shawnee i think and its a town full of hippies. You like like them all! You don't need to have one specific style or lifestyle. Being a hippie is more of a lifestyle, even though the interests and clothing choices can come with it. You can dress like a hippie some days and dress goth others. Its totally ok. Your whole house can look like a garden but you wanna dress goth. It's ok to have more than one style luvz
