Of all the judges Mel is the one I wouldn't want mentoring me. If I ended up with her, I'd start packing my bags. Carmelo has a great voice but these songs don't highlight that. He's straining too hard to sing this song instead of singing as effortless as he did in his audition. Not stepping up to the plate? Hard to do when your coach is selecting the wrong songs for him.

I just love this guy to death. What spunk! And I love how quick he is to smile and laugh. Regardless of whatever happens on this show he's guaranteed to have a great career. Personally, I thought he did an excellent job with this song.

I reckon Natalie is jealous and condescending. And this year’s choice for top 12 just feels a little suspicious and surprising to me. But then again, it’s not really about their voices is it? It’s about xfactor vying for more viewers. Hence they need more interesting characters for the show. Characters with a story, not necessarily the best talent. I really like Carmello! Why do they choose songs for these artists that do not suit them? Carmelo's audition was the best, he was himself, yet he ended up having to sing crap. Getting them ready for the record industry? Carmelo's voice is amazing when he's himself.

I think Mel B. Really killed this guy with the song's she gave him! Plain & simple. He wasn't given a fair shot to do his own thing. This song totally was not in his comfort lane! I feel so bad for him even his own Mentor puts him down? Come ON Mel. You're the one who's suppose to be helping him get through the nerves etc. Like Nicole did with Jahmene Douglas on X Factor 2012 UK! Now She was an excellent Mentor! Jahmene was so nervous getting through his first live show but, she worked on his nervous problem with live shows & his first show was amazing. This guy has the voice & he can carry it off with no problems if given the right songs. Once again Mel Screwed him over! Nice going.

# 1 thing this show does that pesters the livin' daylights atta me, is they take fantastic talent and match them with songs that don't suit their range, style, nor vibe. I 'get' this is a competition, and they mean to throw loops at them, but this still can destroy the artist! They're not models who have to wear the clothes and hair and poses they're given, they're singers, and they show up with the song(s) they know and are good with. I feel the lyrics this time around are good for spitting in the eye of the judges...seriously...what DO they want from him?

carmelo is very talented and has one of the strongest voices in the competition. unfortunately he is very inexperienced and it's showing here and even usher thought so. mel would've been better off bringing back matt gresham and letting carmelo come back next year

I'm 69 years old, but I feel like a teenager again looking forward to these videos. Blocking them doesn't make any sense to me.
