i have the same copy of this sheet music- does anyone know why or who marked an 'X' over the melodic minor scale near the end? my assumption is this was given to someone to play for an audience and didn't want to take "too long" so they just went to the second ending.

Omitir las repeticiones comúnmente es decisión del intérprete. Respecto a la parte tachada, desconozco la razón; sin embargo he visto por la web otra edición de ésta pieza que omite el compás que en la edición del video está tachada, como si no existiera. Supongo que también será decisión del intérprete en éste caso específico.
