Unfortunately, that won't be me. Maybe Orphan Fansubs is going to cover it. After all, they subbed Nagasaki 1945 - the Angelus bells, before I could lay a hand on one of the Brazilian subs print.

Late reply, but I can give a shot and make an amateur fansub. I'm intermediate in Japanese and the audio is clear enough for me to look up anything I don't know.

@@nozoto Sorry to tag you and the guy below you both, but you seem to be quite good at Japanese. Any tips on how to learn the language? It seems quite overwhelming and intimidating, therefore I never touched it so far.

@@Itumaak I have myself a superficial grasp of the language. I can identify the structure of the sentence, the tenses used, modals, the general context, usual vocabulary but I am still dependent on translation tools to identify things like the presence and then the sense of yoji jukugo in a spoken line. Sometimes, I completely fail to understand some concise phrasing, hence the approximations you see here and there. There is no secret to get good at Japanese. You must practice calligraphy, learning by heart all the jouyou kanji, read a lot, memorize more complicated kanji thanks to furigana and have regular conversations. It requires to muscle your visual memory a lot. To be really great at this language you have to main and explore it everyday.
So, Akio Sugino not prominent enough? Btw, thanks for upload.

Sugino was credited as making "design", but had overall a secondary role in the making of this movie. That would be like saying a movie with Christopher Lee, having a cameo of 60 seconds, is maining it in big font on the poster, lol. I mostly care to talk Directors, Animation Directors, eminent Storyboarders and Chara-designers, whose influence shape more significantly a title the way it can be.

@@nozoto Sugino is character-desigher here -_- It can be seen even without looking at the cast.

@@TonyMontana-fu2ez Okay, okay, I give you that, you're right. I only superficially checked in anidb. Made me think he only had a secondary designer position. Anime News Network credited staff more reliably, this time. Excuse me for not searching more thoroughly as I busy myself a lot, sheeeesh! Here is your cookie point. 🤷

This film was directed by Toshio Hirata (Death Note) and Kyuuma Ooshita (The Animatrix), and Akio Sugino designed the characters, as you can see. But they are not credited in the film. The production was Mad House. By the way, there is an excellent documentary film about those tram girls: The Emperor's Tram Girls (2005). I'm not sure where the film is available at present, though.

It is a good candidate for future captions as it made 98K views. The main problem for me to get involve is how I need to punch some motivation into me.
I'll update it. Thanks. I have quite a bunch of raws in my anime directory and for most of them, I give them a very superficial watch, so oversight happens.

Alright, alright! I'll consider this as a future project. It's still a lot of work for a single guy as me doing it for peanuts, so bear with me!
