Every time I hear his voice , I cry because first I did not know he passed away in 97 but also because his voice is so beautiful . I watched the two part documentary on him and just amazing and the song that he did up at his friends house in the mountains I play over and over . I am a pretty set country music. Gospel , bluegrass gal. I do listen to a huge variety of genres . I was visiting my baby sister . I was feeling pretty sorry for myself. I had some serious debilitating health issues. As sis and I were washing dishes she had Alexa play " Somewhere over the rainbow " by Iz. I broke down crying . He was just what I needed. Then I dug in with both feet to learn as much about him as I could. My whole family has trouble with obesity and all the side effects it causes. My baby brother got to be 6'8" 535 #s. So I understand how " he let himself get so big " . I love every inch and pound of that man . I believe God loaned him to us so we would get an idea of what Heaven is going to be like. I understand he was not a Saint on earth. But he was kind , gentle , incredibly intelligent , talented beyond measure , so beautiful. Carolyn J.
