This was brilliant! The only thing that jarred was the drop pod landing: it's supposed to be a shock weapon. It hit the ground OK but then really took its time opening up. In the lore, the doors are blown open with explosives. The space marines should be out in a second, bolters blazing. When a drop pod lands, the enemy is totally disoriented and finds marines tearing them apart before they can even register what is is happening.

Did you make this? If so I'm impressed! Would have only three suggestions/complaint's: - Drop pod hitting the ground a bit slow imo. - The Space Marines lacked the sound while moving that would make them feel heavy as they are. - It felt odd when near the end the last Space Marine grabbed that Tau and imidietly slowed down and stopped to kill him. Please do not be discouraged by my criticism! I loved the atmosphere. The Marine with he jump pack landing on the Tau was perfect! I could feel the fear and desperation in his movement when he was pined to the ground. I also love that you gave the grey skinned Tau blue blood! Really good work! Ow and the moment when the guardsmen look up to the sky and the theme from Space Marine starts to play... PERFECT!

Just in relation to the drop pod's landing speed. They have retro-thrusters on the underside of the drop pod to slow the decent even more than it did in this video. Space marines are tough but not invulnerable and a sudden stop like that can be just as deadly even though they're in power armor. @Cloud of judgement for reference check out the opening cinematic for Dawn of war 1 Blood raven drop ships start landing in the background near the end. The high speed drops you see in dawn of war 2 etc are like that for the sake of game play mechanics.

The title is a spin on the fact that they are blood angels, Hence the full red chapter colours. The drop pods are the only models in all of Gmod so I am guessing the creator just went ahead and used them. Blood ravens have red and white colour scheme along with trimming while most blood angels are just full red with green eyes.

Technically if you believe the story that Ollanius Pius is a perpetual that has lived throughout most of humanities history, he would be the last person of the Catholic faith in the 40k universe. So that guardsman could be Ollanius. The counter argument to that would be that Ollanius was not around when the Tau became spacefaring, and that Ollanius would not be praying to god and instead be fighting like any good commissar fearing guardsman would.
