Sadly Mark only lived for about 5 years after his recovery from the fungal infection. He caught the infection back in 2000 and he died on February 26, 2005. Watching this video, it seems as though all these events happened recently, or at least not that long ago, but the footage of Mark in the hospital is over 20 years old and he's been gone for over 17 years now.

I think it's pretty bad all around he was afraid of offending people with his looks. But I do believe that most men are biologically made to be less sincere with women who don't have the "perfect look." It's also subjective. Some men like certain things different than others. That's part of the reason I'm determined to go life as alone as possible. I still need social interaction because I'm not a psychopath (though sometimes I wish I was), but integrity and loyalty have almost lost their meaning to most, and love and compassion are almost always conditional.
