I feel like Diana would have been failed on her revenge if her bullies only had that solid friendship. Throughout the series, we see the bullies going against each other on their own and I think that really contributed to their downfall.

I think that is more why Diana stayed loyal with her anger and rage. She saw how bad that “friendship” was and she took advantage of that and throw it against them. That is that best part about her and why I love the character itself.

These aren't regular bullies that makes fun of others out of frustration or anger, these are on a whole different level as they take joy in torturing others. They have no empathy for other people, so things like loyalty isn't attached with their friendship. I wouldn't even call it friendship and more like an alliance.

I love it, if u haven't seen flower of evil I recommend it! I still don't think part 2 matches up with the trip on part 1 of glory(I think it happened to fast and they could have utelized the plot, both the friends take-down, 'eve' relationship with her daughter and Diana's with eves husbands before the romance with the Dr,,,,)but I still love it, maybe will get a season 2 or a part 3 where we uncover more of the past and the current and of the future....

the ritual that the shaman did was more than just a performance honestly. yes, Dongeun told her to do the first part, but when she started freaking out and had a "spiritual seizure" called "벌전 (beoljeon)" which means "God's deadliest punishment in korean shamanism" because the shaman just kept on using her 'powers' for evil, which resulted her punishment, death. also, when she started screaming at an empty space near Yeonjin, some say it was actually So Hee's spirit (hence the 'burns' remarks the shaman said) and Myeong oh's spirit was the one who attacked her (that's why she fell to the ground). this explains why Dongeun suddenly bursted into tears after everyone ran out bc she realized So Hee's spirit has actually been with her through it all.

Yes. You can tell sh*t started to get real when dong-eun's face changed as the shaman started talking to someone that's not even there and then revealing things even dongeun doesn't know, like yeonjin asking sohee to take her clothes off.

Yeah I saw this theory too and some said that the fact that Dongeun doesn't know the interaction between Sohee and Yeonjin (specifically the "should I take my clothes off for you" part) was proof that the shaman was not acting but actually Sohee posessing the Shaman

The shaman scene is very interesting. It seems like Sohee is really there because the shaman talks about information that Diana will never know (about how Eve asks Sohee to strip her clothes on the rooftop). Later, when the shaman starts to ramble about “someone” not belong to the world of living is there, it seems like Sohee is actually there with them, that’s why Diana cries because it’s likely that she realizes all this time that Sohee is by her side, protecting her. Do you know what is written on the piece of paper that falls off the wall and onto Eve's (Yeonjin's) mother's face, waking her up? It happens just after the shaman falls and Yeonjin bolts. I'm assuming those strips of paper have prayers on them, and I figured it must be a specific prayer that's significant to the plot, but I can't read Korean or get a clear enough screenshot to search for a translation. Any help would be greatly appreciated.💜

@@clairepettie I can’t read Korean too, I looked it up online and someone explains that it is written “Baekho” which means “the white tiger”, believed as divine being that punishes ghosts and evil spirits. So when the paper falls on Yeon Jin’s mother’s face, it is implied that she will get punished soon. Hope this helps :)

the details on this drama are so good, like the foreshadowing when Diana said she wanted "to be so happy she could die". Also, the shaman scene especially-the weird details blurted out by the shaman (even Diana wouldn't know about "taking the clothes off" dialogue), Diana's reaction seeing the shaman died (oh yeah, she died. The assistant checked her pulse before running away), and how the talisman paper dropped exactly on Eve's mom forehead. Also, Mrs. Kang is so damn good. Amazing actress.

I think the shaman actually died during that whole performance. I think when she started screaming she actually did see sohee's ghost. Which explains why dongeun (diana) started tearing up and the wind was blowing hard etc. I mean sohee did die in the snow so it could be her actual ghost at that moment. Also the shaman stayed there laying in the snow even after eve and everyone left. (I think that was her punishment since we didn't see her go to jail for her crimes)

When I watched this show I also kept thinking about how dumb and reckless the bullies were, but it totally tracks because they had enough money to never even have to use their brains. Even the two “poor” bullies weren’t ringleaders so they just fell under the protection of the 3 rich bullies.

It’s the parents ( eve’s and sara’s) who created the monsters. They keep covering up for them and so they keep committing crimes coz they knew they can get away with it… sad coz it is still happening in the present world where parents think they so love their kids that they will try to cover up for their mistakes/crimes and so they never learn what is wrong from right.

I think the main reason Richard said he would stay by Eve's side is to see her end. It wasn't because he loved or wanted to be with Eve. It was pretty obvious he didn't love her anymore. He decided to stay so that he could see Diana reach the end with Eve and get her happiness.

Steph I love your storytelling and watch all your videos but you missed an important part! During the scene where the shaman suddenly turns to the empty side of the courtyard and says she sees SoHee, she was not pretending anymore! She seems genuinely shocked and says, "I knew i smelled something rotten. Youre not supposed to be here." Thats why Diana looks so surprised because that was never a part of their plan, she never told the shaman to do that. The reason why the shaman suddenly faints is because she was given the ultimate punishment from the spirits called “Beoljeon” (most likely because she was impersonating SoHee’s ghost.) I think the shaman couldve died too? But im not sure about that. Also after this whole ordeal Diana cries because she realizes that SoHee’s ghost has been watching all along. She probably felt very sad for her but also relieved that SoHee can finally see herself get justice.

@@clairepettie Hi! Actually it is not talisman. It's like an ancestral tablet. The name of a sacred spirit is written on it. In this case the name is "서방경신 백호신장 (Sacred white tiger, gardian of western who has power of metal)" In asian traditional religion, they believed that the white tiger has the power to take a role of punishing and slaying evils. That scene suggests that the tiger's eyes on yeonjin's mom and she gonna be punished. I suggest you watch a video by the channel called ‘Netflix Problems’ the video is called ‘why the shaman fainted in the glory’ they explain this scene in a lot of detail 😊

At least “Ryan” says to Diana in one of the first episodes “did you give birth to “Jay”’s child?”. Lol when Stephanie said she liked Dongeun because she was "not annoying" I was like that's Kim Eunsook (the playwright? idk how they call them in english) for you She was the one who wrote Goblin and The King (both kdramas) and even though The King was in some scandals because of some scenes they are both really good dramas with great plots characters etc For me Kim Eunsook is kind of like a favorite author (but playwright instead of author) and I really love all her works because she's truly a great writer Her lines are golden I tell you and I'm kind of sad that people that don't know Korean won't understand how each character's lines had me feeling all kinds of emotions throughout the whole series lol Anyways thank you so much for covering The Glory I had so much fun watching this video because your storytelling skills are MAD biss :D

I had such a hard time watching and most importantly finishing this finale part. I knew something was up and I almost died when it was coming to Diana's suicide scene. Thank God, Diana is alive, thank God!!!
