I hate doing a style on clients that requires them to actually maintain their hair. Like in this case, he had a lot of untamed hair due to his lack of maintenance. He had so much friz cuz he doesn't take care of his hair. Before I go in & bust my a&& on a style I ask the client, "do you actually maintain your hair with products or what have you." If they say no, they just get up & go, I will avoid a style that requires maintenance at all cost. He will need curling products. His hair will require maintenance to get his curl pattern looking healthy. Hopefully he'll start taking better care of his hair.

I don't understand why, when he SPECIFICALLY said he wanted the front left long to cover his forehead, you cut it short because you felt it fit him better. That man's face was not happy at the end, and his girlfriend seemed super awkward about it as well.
