I just heard of him for the first time last night when he was briefly mentioned in a book about Tibetan tantric masters and their tulku's I'm currently reading and then this clip was offered to me here. Nice to see YT's algorithm can be in tune with the Dharma : ) Rinpoche is the first of the old school "heavy hitters" I know of that managed to live over 100 years - truly amazing. In a world full of short-term gratifications & self promotion, these yogi's & masters were/are the real deal.

True, we cannot save others from their own negative karmas. The journalist should respect Rinpoche's view, after all innocent Chinese citizens have also suffered. Rinpoche's teaching is boundlessly addressed to all sentient beings, regardless of nationalities, colours, races, etc.
