I think it's pretty clear that what the man wants to be is the next george lucas, someone who crafts this modern "epic" - he is plainly enarmoured with pulling from a lot of old myths (at least their pop culture interpretation) and constant attempts to make scenes or characters appear larger than life (slow-mo etc.). Problem really is that he doesn't realise that star wars worked out because you had groundbreaking visions from a ton of different people - instead he is, like george lucas during the prequels, surrounded by yes-men.

The problem of characters just telling the audience "You are supposed to feel this way about them, despite not seeing them exhibit that through actions" is the same damn problem I had with his DC movies. Everyone harps on and on about Superman being this amazing symbol of hope, rather than SHOWING him as this amazing paragon of virtue. Lots of people gave that a slide because "Well duh, we all know Superman" but now we're seeing that same attitude applied to characters the audience has no pre-existing understanding or relationship to.

In the first movie someone says that "scargiver" is one of Kora's nicknames as this sort of legendary warrior... which is actually a lot less intimidating that what Zack Snyder thinks it is, I mean, a scar means that you survived your injuries, which means she isn't that deadly of a warrior (dead people don't have scars, they're just dead)... also, I remember like the names Titus and Nemesis from the first movie because of how generic they're, and I didn't remembered that the animal guy was named "Tarak" but when they said their name in the second movie I thought "oh, I get it! Its sound similar to 'Tarzan' because he's basically a copy of Tarzan" and that's why I remember his name

I liked Watchmen a lot. I'd call it a great film and give it a 7/10. But it has problems, and that's the best thing he's ever made. 300 was decent and it's nostalgiac and classic for myself and many others. It just feels like the early 2000s to me, but I know that it's aged horribly and wasn't even that good for the time. Visually it's very striking and unique, and I love Leonidas' death at the end "My queen! My wife! My love!" or whatever he says will always be iconic. Man Of Steel is decent. Zod was an awesome villain. That's about all I have to say about it. And he directed the video for My Chemical Romance's Desolation Row, which was decent but FAR from that band's best music video. Other than that he's total, complete garbage. To me he just happened to make 2 things that I like and 2 things that I'm okay with but mostly indifferent to. Zack Snyder kinda seems like one of those directors that has Hollywood by the balls. Like, they know people hate his movies, but for one reason or another he keeps getting chances. Either his shit is actually wildly profitable behind the scenes or it's an elaborate prank by the ultra wealthy to keep funding his projects as they snicker at us still wasting time watching them. Like, he clearly knows how to do some things, then he randomly uses slow motion like fifteen times in one movie in random spots that don't mean anything. Does he just not listen to the criticisms or does he hear them and double down to be a dick? Edit: something I didn't consider until after Charlie mentioned it is that maybe Zack just doesn't have anyone to tell him no. Star Wars had a lot of lines reworked and even removed when people approached George Lucas and told him that people don't talk the way the script was written.

I got bored watching Rebel Moon so I spent 10 minutes writing my pitch for if Clark Kent was just a regular guy who was afraid of pooping in public bathrooms. I bet it’s better than 8 hours of Zac Snyder 😂 Open on Clark Kent, an antisocial *editor* at The Daily Planet. He enjoys his research & editing alone but his farm boy background already makes it hard for him to relate and his work annoys the brash reporters under him. Weeks later at a holiday party, Clark’s gets anxious so he takes an elevator up to an empty office to use the private bathroom alone. Clark suddenly hears a large group of people gather outside the office and panics, dreading the awkwardness of explaining to coworkers why he was there. As he waits in the dark office he glances over to the balcony and gets the scare of his life as he stifles a scream. Superman is gently floating a few feet away on the balcony, staring at him with a confused look. He calmly gestures to Clark to sneak out to the balcony. When he does, Superman says he was in the area and heard someone’s heartbeat start to race like it does from real fear and saw a man hiding but doesn’t understand. Clark is still in disbelief that Superman is there but he’s still so anxious from earlier he explains everything that happened, now just feeling embarrassed for himself realizing who he’s talking to. Superman just hovers there silently, seemingly unsettled by Clark but before Clark can speak again, he feels an intense gust of wind and disorienting noise as Superman picks him up and flies him 60 stories down safely to an alley. Clark thanks him and Superman says, “I came here on a spaceship…I’ve fought against Gods, hell I’ve been around the world more than Santa Claus who is real by the way- so imagine my surprise when I find my own face staring back at me on a quiet night in my own backyard.” To be continued… The idea would be that Superman and Clark for some reason happen to look almost identical (minus the powers & glasses of course). Superman says the hardest part of his job is he cant predict who he will need to protect around the world but now that his enemies will soon find Clark inevitably, this is a unique opportunity. Clark can pretend he’s Superman in disguise, and use it as an excuse to leave if he feels anxious, and ultimately help a superhero. It will help Superman keep his enemies close and distracted and he will always be able to protect him. Clark goes on to get a bit more confident but he’s so awkward and retreats into his work feeling like a fraud and thinks about the night they met regretting the deal and angry at himself that all of this happened because he was too anxious to use the bathroom down the hall or spend time at a party. He keeps thinking about it over and over again as he drinks alone and starts to wonder why so many people came up to that office that night and what were they so focused on that kept them from seeing Superman out of the window like he did? Clark then realizes he has one luxury that Superman could never afford: Clark can take his time, he can waste time which is something Superman never can allow himself. So the second half of the story ultimately becomes a detective story with Clark asking the only reporter not in the office that night, Louis Lane, to help him slowly investigate what was going on and later, why some executive high up at The Daily Planet named Lex is secretly meeting with reporters to plant certain stories in the news…

@@LordCrate-du8zm I tried to come up with a decent story based off a stupid idea basically out of spite for the writing in Rebel Moon lol, I just ended up actually getting interested in it afterwards. Out of curiosity, what would you add/change?

These "yes" comments have been so cringey, boring, lame, uninspired, and stupid for YEARS.

All anyone needs is one success. If someone can just make one smash hit and they can milk that for years. They can make nothing but trash afterwards but as long as they had one hit people will come back to them to fund their projects.

Hes made a few good movies such as watchman and 300. You should watch the movies before you say anything about them and not just based it off a youtuber opinion.

@@helpfulplaylists3933and he’s made a lot of bad movies as well. Just because we don’t like him doesn’t mean we’re basing our opinion off someone else. Not everyone has to like him. Also notice how 300 and Watchman are both originally comics, and they are even better than his adaptations.

The only kinda good movie he ever made was Dawn of the Dead, which was written by James Gunn

Hey don’t worry, Zack’s going to throw a tantrum and claim that he needs to have his untouched version to see the light of day
@Xenosthewatcher8 ай бұрын
He is honestly the worst director in modern Hollywood and one of the worst of all time. He cannot tell a story, he cannot create good dialog, he cannot make an interesting character, he make Michael Bay look good in comparison.

At this point, I think James Gunn had more to do with Dawn of the Dead remake than Zack Snyder. We saw the bloated mess that was Army of the Dead when Snyder wrote it.
