The Dan Wesson is a premier find! Big bucks. Ruger is a MK1 22, also a decent find as is the Remington 700. Hint, clear a gun by dropping the mag, then cycle the action!

Hey locker nuts! You can buy a pick kit for those type of locks from The lock picking lawyer, they are super neat. And then you could sell the safe, too!
@SalerPaul2 ай бұрын
That Nylon 66 may not look like much, but it is a GREAT rifle for plinking. I had one 50 years ago, it was pretty much just "point & shoot," tons of fun! Remington 700 was what the military used for a sniper rifle for many years, renowned for its accuracy. Mossberg 500 has a reputation as one of the most reliable self-defense shotguns. Not to mention all the other cool "trinkets" in that safe, I'd say you did all right there!

As a UK resident I always find the fascination for guns and rifles outside of farming and sport a little puzzling. I can just picture a neighbour over here seeing you with all those guns laid out dialling 999. The Police responce would be epic! Good to see you make sure they are all safe.

20:52 That's a Remington Nylon 66. Made from the 1950s into the 1980s or so. They are nice, lightweight. 22 plinkers with a decent following among shooters. The main complaint I have is that they load through the stock, which slows down the plinking action! I like being able to swap out magazines, much faster.

Nice collection, the Dan Wesson is its own company that is separate from Smith and Wesson. They make decent pistols; it appears that the one you have is a bit older. The Mossberg shotgun appears to be a slug gun used for deer hunting and it may have a rifled barrel, I would definitely check that out. The Nylon 66 is a 22 Caliber rifle and some of them can fetch decent money if they are a rarer color as they made several different colors over the course of their manufacturing. The Remington 700 seems nice but appears to be an ADL variety without the cartridge drop on the bottom, but I can't be sure.

that stock is a survival 22. ,barrel and action in stock
@davidreynolds36342 ай бұрын
The flip out on the black powder rifle is a patch box. You keep extra flints for flintlocks and extra nipples for percussion rifles. Usually a bullet puller, a worming tool and some patches, hence ‘patch box’. The black stock is a survival .22 rifle all stored in the stock. Nice finds! Especially the Dan Wesson .44 and the Woodsman .22.

Open the stock you found in the safe the rifle parts r in the stock it's a survival rifle
@vincentfabiano48922 ай бұрын
The toolbox the 1st metal box you pulled out & wondered what it was. It's a dent puller for like pulling dents out of a vehicle. Also the black plastic gun stock is a backpacking 22LR rifle. Everything comes apart & goes into the stock so it can go into a backpack. When you showed the end of it I saw the slots. I also have 1 too but mine is silver.

On the Dan Wesson, you open the cylinder by pulling down on the latch just forward of the cylinder on the left side of the revolver. The black powder rifle: the box on the rear of the stock is called a 'patch box', you'd keep precut patches in there for loading round ball projectiles. The black stock is an Armalite AR7, a .22lr caliber break down survival rifle. The stock assembly is supposed to float, but probably shouldn't test that out. The Nylon 66 was Remington's foray into lightweight, inexpensive semi auto .22 rifles back in the 60s. The entire stock assembly was made from hardened Nylon. They're very reliable, but given the age, the Nylon stock is going to be fragile. No idea what that black powder revolver is.
@jayhensley40492 ай бұрын
Like a bunch of other people said the thing you thought was just about stock is a survival rifle with all of the components inside of the stock it was missing the cap on the end of the buttstock. And the Nylon 66 needs a little bit of cleanup but it's a relatively increasing in value rifle probably worth $350 even in the condition it is

I'm not sure if this is the right video to answer your "What is it?", but the narrow strips of leather with the two buttons are called "keepers". They are used to "keep" the utility belt (which holds the many tools needed in a variety of jobs) connected to the pant belt.

Hilarious! Oh California. Muzzle loader season in the Rockies is a BFD my friend. It starts in September when the mountain weather is perfect the elk rut and the aspen trees turn gold, a magical cultural time to get into the woods with your buds and family to camp and fill your freezer with meat before ski season.I look at that black powder muzzle loader and see a good time or realistically a $500 bill because I hunt elk with a bow. Enjoy your profits.
