I'm a real one. I feel for my brother, I too am a retired firefighter/paramedic of 32 years and have been battling cancer for 16 years. I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2008 and after my last round of intense radiation I was given 3 to 5 years. Even though my cancer has now progressed to to stage 4 bone cancer I'm 70 years old and the cancer is well controlled by oral chemo and monthly injections so I'll probably pass from old age before my cancer gets me. The homeowner should have faith and keep fighting every day.

As a cancer survivor myself I can attest to the blessing you provided for him. Unlike his where he was awake a lot, mine was so strong it knocked me out to the point I slept more than I was awake for weeks at a time. If I didn't set the alarm to get up to eat, drink, shower and go back for the next treatment I wouldn't have been able to do it on my own, as I had to remain totally quarantined accept when I went to the doctor. My immune system was pretty much non existent thanks to the chemo. I had a great neighbor who came to check on the house and do the yard for me. I didn't realize she had until after the treatments and it dawned on me that it looked so good! I kept breaking down into tears at the kindness she provided and wanting nothing in return. Keep up the great work!

I grew up in a small town, and what your neighbor did, and what Tucker is doing was just a way of life in a small town. Neighbors helping neighbors, without thinking about a reward. My entire immediate family died because of cancer. My prayers go out to everyone who is fighting that battle. I am 80, and so far, no cancer, but it goes back three generations, but God willing, I will die of old age, first.

I understand. My husband had Leukemia AML and Stomach cancer for 12 yrs. We finally lost him in 2018. But, had to hire out when he passed. Heaven got a good one.
