Great show you crazy kids. It was very upbeat fun to watch. Hearing about Linda's hospital visit right after you got there brought a tear to my eye. I couldn't imagine making a life changing away and then having something like that happen. God had a plan for you two and I'm grateful that I bumped into your channel when I was laid up for 5 months after tearing up my knee. You brighten up the lives of many people with your positive attitudes, your obvious love for each other and the help you give to all of us. Monday's would not be the same without your show, your sense of humor and last but not least, Linda's smile.

I've been here for 2 months and it is the best decision my wife and I have ever made. My wife and I are still working but it is better to work here in the sunshine than to be in the cold of the north. I have not had the chance to play golf but I watch a lot of Pros in my backyard. Hi Linda & Jerry, you saved wisely for your retirement years. If you no longer want to do yard maintenance and would rather spend your time doing something fun, that is your right. If someone enjoys yard work during their retirement, that is something they should do. When I have visited The Villages in the summer, I sure don't envy the yard maintenance crews working in the Central Florida heat & humidity. No wonder why they start working at 7 am.

Just returned from a Lifestyle Visit! Absolutely loved it! Went to water aerobics, pickle ball lesson, Sarasota driving range, Edna's on the Green, Spanish Springs, Sumter Landing, Brownwood. Just enjoyed driving around in the golf cart, so much fun! 🇨🇦

Just info - The great state of North Carolina where I live has a lot of snakes as well. You just have to keep your eyes open. 👀 If someone takes the time to write hurtful words, I think they are trying to get rid of their pain by sprinkling it around for others. Just be sure not to get around their pepper. it is more like Chili’s than black pepper. I have heard it said -hurting people hurt people. Jerry, you and Linda are so far above negative behavior and words. I love the way you deal with the saddest people’s comments and find kind antidotes to their unwarranted words. My wife Christina and I just returned from a Lifestyle visit. We drove the golfcart a bunch of places, played a free round of golf on a Par3, went to nightly entertainment and took a couple of hikes. Christina worries that if we move to a 55 plus, I will play golf all the time and not do things with her. I assured her there are a ton of things at TV couples do together and I would love to do some with her. We are debating between a Dell Web community and The Villages. Tough decision

I agree with you 100% on the "convincing the wife." When were very young, 1981-1983, we lived in Lakeland, FL. We loved it there. Since then, we have lived in 8 different states, over my 54 year working lifetime. My bride's greatest concerns are crowded neighborhoods, heat, noisy dogs and no privacy! I know once I get her back to FL and she gets to see TV, I think she will come round. I am retiring in January 2004 and I have already spoken to someone regarding a LSV. Most Likely in April 2004. Hope to see you guys while we are there.

Linda, that live show was better than okay, it was GREAT! Hope you two do it again periodically! I have a kitty cat. Her name is Salena and she is very loving. I adopted her from Petsmart on Wedgewood Lane 2 years ago. I'm not a golfer, but I'm very busy participating in a lot of other activities. I might take it up one day. I just started back at the pool because I don't go in the pool during December and January either Jerry, until I get one of those swimming jackets. I feel like Alex about The Villages! The fact that Ginny and Tom do not want to live is a bonus for us Villagers. They are actually doing us a favor! Love your shows! Like I mentioned before, we bought a home in Solivita and we do have an indoor pool However! our entire neighborhood might be just one of your villages. So, The Villages would need to build so many more indoor pools to accommodate just half of the population. Maybe one day, they just might do that. We use our Dollar Store here and nobody has complained yet that their greeting card is not purchased from the expensive section. People are happy to get a card in the mail. The cards sold here in San Antonio at Dollar Tree ARE Hallmark cards. For 50cents each they are fine for anyone or any occasion. If someone wants or needs a "mushier" card, there are those also. They are $1.00.

I was going to suggest "The Village Newcomers + Plus" Thank you for mentioning me in your top viewer list. Aren't there a lot of people there on Medicare? I have it since I retired along with a supplement plan from an independent insurance co. and a precription plan. Aren't these honored by the doctors and hospitals there? I was also curious about the painted driveways there. Is it actually paint or a stain? Do you have to get approval on the design and colors? How long does this treatment last? Take care of yourselves, you have a lot more to tell us.

I wouldn't play golf, I tried it years ago and it wasn't for me. I don't swim or do any other water activities either. It would bother me some to pay the amenity fees knowing that the two biggest factors in the cost I'd never use - golf courses & swimming pools. I would ride my bikes(a LOT), and play pickleball, tennis, and softball. Getting around in a golf cart would be fun too.

Indoor pools would be great, but I can understand why they would be costly and difficult. About how deep are the neighborhood adult only pools? I have to do deep water exercise and I know there are sport pools, but was just wondering about the smaller ones.

We came to TV never having played golf. My wife is like Linda: had never played, thought she'd never play, and now plays and loves it. I've yet to pick it up and enjoy TV. There are lots of golf opportunities, but there are lots of opportunities for so many other things.
