Deals are decent now. Bought this TV from Best Buy today. Best Buy is giving a free $399.99 delivery/unboxing setup and mounting. I bought a mount that was roughly $250. Spent $2141 total.
@1stamendmentmedia4642 ай бұрын
This baby is 1799 virtually everywhere for Black Friday. Just ordered one yesterday from Costco includes 5 years of warranty. I'm not going to mount it but if you buy the mounting hardware it also includes wall mount with cable concealment. That's pretty unheard of for that price.

Me! Right now it’s $1,798 at Wal-Mart and Amazon! I am hoping to get it for cheaper with Black Friday !!!!!!!thoughts???
@1stamendmentmedia4642 ай бұрын
My thoughts are it will not be cheaper. Do you belong to Costco? The reason I bought it at Costco instead of Walmart is Costco automatically adds an additional year of warranty that they take care of themselves. That gives you two years instead of one. They then throw in and Allstate policy for it for an additional 3 years which gives it a total of 5-year warranty. That alone would cost you at least $100. Another advantage to Costco is you have 90 days to return it if for some reason you don't like it even if it's too big or any other reason. With Christmas season, you would get more than the usual 30 days at Walmart probably but I doubt it will equate to 90 days. Also, purchasing it from Costco you get $100 Google Play gift card credit as well. I don't have much use for that but I can give it to somebody as a gift and it's still worth a hundred bucks.

I like Hisense TV's. I was worried as a former plasma TV owner going to LED that it would suck. That said, I bought the 85U7H a year ago and was really impressed. The picture was way better than I expected. I considered a UST at the time but my room was not friendly to that setup. I definitely will look at this the next time around. Do you know what the differences between the 100U76 and U8 are?
@HiFiBrothers9 ай бұрын
The U8 is a better TV overall as it has more dimming zones, so HDR content will look far more crisp having less blooming and deeper blacks.

Considering grabbing the 100U88N in Canada. Do you think it's worth it to spend a bit more for a much brighter display with way more dimming zones?
@HiFiBrothers7 ай бұрын
More than double the price - I’d do a little more homework on other options ie: OLED, Projector etc. If it still ends up as your top choice, go for it! 5x more dimming zones will make watching HDR content even more enjoyable.

@garys741010 ай бұрын
had this for a month, i will say 1080p content from cable box will not look very good, better watch 4k streams and if your into sports turn motion to smooth vastly improves the picture quality. Having a apple tv 4k box makes the picture quality in some cases looks really good vs using the tvs OS apps. Rest of the settings set in filmaker mode all the processing stuff off. I bought from costco with 90 days return and extended 6yr warranty. Speakers are very good and clear.

Honestly, if you’re looking to spend $3000 for a TV you might as well look at OLED - yes, the size of the TV will be smaller but the picture quality is unmatched.
@defendpolicedefunddemokkkr6976Ай бұрын
The ONLY difference is that the $3000 Hisense is mini-led being brighter in HDR. I don’t like HDR & NEVER use it so I’m getting the $1800 & will save money. If you get the cheaper Hisense keep in mind there’s also another one that’s a little cheaper but it’s not Full array. The Full array is better. OLEDs are overrated & overpriced in my opinion & I’m glad I took mined back.

@@HiFiBrothers The average person is Buying TCL S3 and S4 TV'S and similar Hisense, and Lesser Brands TV'S. They are Not buying expensive TV'S. 75% of consumers most likely more than that are Not going to spend more than $600.00 on a TV ever. The Most Sold TV'S are the Least Expensive TV'S across All the TV Brands. This year and Last year I watched / heard TCL when they announced their New TV'S. The Spokesperson said that the Vast Majority of the TVS that they sell are the S3 and S4 TV'S. TCL is trying to get those people to spend more money on Higher Quality TV'S. The Head of the TV Division said that is why they came out with the S5 and the Q6 Models to Hopefully get more people into the Higher end TV'S that they sell. TV'S that Cost over $1,000.00 are Less than 10% of All TV'S sold worldwide. Women don't Geek out like Men do about a TV'S Picture Quality, about the Size of a 100 inch TV. Women (Like 95% of Women) would much Rather be Taken out to the Movie Theater. They don't want a Home Theater because then it is Less Likely she will be going out to a Lot of Movies and Dinners. The Home Theater Market with Projectors has Never been a Large Segment of the World Population. The people who are using Projectors are more Numerous than the people who Buy $1,000.00 and up TV'S. Honestly people who spend money 🤑 💰 on High end Projectors they Buy High end TV'S too. Audio Video Nerds don't think: I have a 100 inch TV now, so I don't Need my 300 inch Screen in my Professional Movie Theater anymore... No these People Love Technology and don't ever want to Give up their Large Screen Movie Theaters. I have more than $30,000.00 invested in my own Home Theater, which is Peanuts compared to what people with real money spend on their Home Theaters. I would have to say DIY, and Professionally Installed Home Theaters are Easily at the Highest level today then they have ever been at. Because it is Easier than it has ever been to DIY a Quality Home Theater. The Quality and Range of Projectors (As you know I consider a UST Projector Really Just an overly Expensive Flawed TV.) available today is at it Zenith and the Popularity of Projectors are Not being diminished by the Large Screen TV's that are being sold today. For example College Dorm rooms (People who don't have much money to spend throughout society.) are full of Students that Buy $300.00 to $600.00 LED Projectors and use the wall to give themselves a 100 inch Screen. Some don't have room for that size so they are happy with a 50 inch image. A few things are Behind this. They want a Big Screen but they can't afford a High Quality TV. Also They can easily Lock up their Projector. Yes Theft is very Big in college housing and in low rent housing. Amazon is selling Tens of Thousands of Projectors Worldwide yearly because People Love them. The Projector market is Thriving.
