Color temperature on the low setting for the U6G makes the whites look way too yellowish. I switched it to low-mid and it looks MUCH better.

sadly, h9g/h8g or even tcl 6/5 series are not available here in the philippines, only hisense uled A6505 and tcl c716/c816. do you have an idea regarding these?

Did you turn HDMI Format to Enhanced format? For me I have an H8G and it's not in the same location as the H9G in the video (or they could have moved it since this video was posted). Either way, my HDMI Format setting is on the top level of the menu like right when you hit the menu button it says "Video" then "Sound" then "HDMI Format" that needs to be changed to Enhanced. a way to check this is if you then go into picture settings, when in-game, and under Picture Mode if it says "HDR Game" or if you have the option for it, it's sensing the presence of HDR content so you are good.

So I followed the white balance settings on the website for my U8G and I have it set to apply to all inputs, but for some odd reason when I switch inputs the white balance settings have reverted to factory settings. Do I have to set white balance settings for every mode?

Kinda embarrassed to ask but if I watch KZbin from the TV app, is that considered sdr content or hdr? Im trying to still figure out what's the best settings for it. I notice this bit of studdering effect watching some of these cool "4K Nature clips" when the picture is moving to the bottom of the screen. Wow I sound really dumb typing that out lol. That would be SDR, so say your using Vivid mode right, if it just says Vivid your in SDR, if it reads HDR Vivid then that is HDR haa same for Theatre Day etc

There is some HDR content on KZbin but you should see the pop up in the corner when you're watching HDR content.

Hey! There is noticeable stutter because of the good response time. There are motion interpolation settings you can try though if you don't mind that.

Color temperature as low/med/high is very odd. It's usually a sliding scale of warm/cool, which is what it is still doing but labeled as low to high???

Color temperature uses the Kelvin unit. A low temperature has a warmer color, and a higher temperature has a cooler color. Rising temperature ------> Red ----------- Yellow ----- White ----- Blue

You say when HDR and Dolby Vision content is displayed, the settings change... But also the Color Settings change, like the 2 point and 10 point, white balance, etc. So my question is... In HDR and Dolby Vision i dont move anything, or i leave the settings as is but adjust the white balance, 2 and 10 point with your calibration settings?

I think it’s calibration for SDR content. But it’s universal, except the ones that are automatically adjusted based on format

My HDMI 2.0 format is greyed out and on Standard. Anyway to fix that? The only thing I have hooked up to it is my PS5.

I found the solution to this by the way. So when you're on whatever input for whatever you have plugged in (for me it was HDMI 1 for my PS5) instead of pressing the home button, you have to press the button above it on the left side with the 3 white lines on it. Then you should be able to change it.

H8G for 6 months now, and I can’t stand it. Half the buttons, including the power and back, have never worked on the remote. No matter what I do, I can’t they the gaming calibration right. The apps constantly don’t work and I have to completely cycle the tv. I really regret not getting my usual Vizeo M class

That is correct! It's a 120Hz panel, but they don't support HDMI 2.1.

The TV will accept a 1080p 120Hz signal, but it just ignores every second frame and still only refreshes at 60Hz.

I bought the model 50u7qf and connected to my xbox one x, but it couldn't recognise the hdr function. It shows that my TV can run 4k at 60fps but no hdr was detected at all. Xbox told me this TV device doesn't support any HDR function. I plug the cable in the HDMI3 dock. Does it matter anything? Can anyone tell what's wrong with my settings or the TV itself?

You need to switch from hdmi 2.0 standard to hdmi 2.0 enhanced in the settings

So at the beginning u said hang around till end if your gaming on PC versus a console as in maybe it's able to do something better maybe than consoles lie of 4k 120 that it can't do, but hisense tells u to ur face can do.. smh.. like maybe even 120 at 1080 or 1440, or there's a way to get g sync or free sync or this or that or anything to fix anything, as I've been on ur site n forums on h9g and PC say it'll say u got 120 at 1080 and 1440 bit skips frames and only 60 and how is it even a 120 htz panel then... The panel is 120hz, apps running on the tv support it but anything connected via hdmi will only run 60 hz and anything that says 120hz via hdmi on the h9g is skipping every other frame. Most of the fancy graphics AAA singleplayer games only support 60hz on the series x/ps5 anyway.

I find the skin tones on humans to be very orange. Any fix for that?

Changing your color temperature could be the quickest fix. Low temperatures could cause some yellow/orange whereas high might make it blue.
