Just got my 100” U8k at bb for $2999 will have it delivered this Thursday hope there’s no issues on this big heavy TV because after I mount it to the wall I will hate to take it down for another tv.. PLEASE Hisense don’t do me WRONG as it is my 1st EVER Hisense please don’t upset me.. Heard some good stuff about it and some bad issues… So fingers crossed 🤞

Hisense making very good TVs comfortable for eyes to watch movie or to play game at 1 meter and sound represent perfectly. As a customer I recommend people don't waste a lot money on expensive TVs because this brand is cheap and good.

Yeah, i am super Envious over US customers, and its not even CHEAP anywhere else in the world too. Except in USA. I checked price before i bought my 2 Hisense Panels in Canada. Each panel i Had to pay $285 USD more for 55” and $450 more for the 65” (Canadian Price). I did my research too to see their Image before buying it. N shocked 😯 the Asian Price match Canadian Price. US customers --Major Discount- for UN recognized Product entering OVER matured highly saturated Market. They selling in Volume . I doubt the CHEAP is going to last more than 3-5 yrs. Cuz if d GLOBAL intended price is higher,,,, u guys get “EARLY Bird PRICE” seriously, due to high completion, n large market 😊. A lot of ppl just super unappreciative. The “cheaper” n better deal it is, the MORE they hate it, cuz buying More expensive stuff makes them feel smart. 😂

Yes I was wondering u8h vs u8k as well. I finally saw a u8h in person and I have to say maybe the best lcd I’ve ever seen. For my main it will be an oled at some point. But other rooms this seems to be the champ.

Thank you for the review of this tv. I’m new to the channel. My wife and i are wanting to upgrade our tv from a 50” panasonic to a 75” tv from Costco. We were close to buying an 85” lg but after watching your past video on y not to buy a 85/6 tv made me pause. You made clear sense and i liked your opinion. That being said, i’d like your opinion and recommendations on the tvs from Costco (sony, lg, samsung, hisense, tcl) for purchasing. That is going to be our purchasing store. Ty PS most of our viewing is movies and me gaming from my ps4 (yeah I’m behind times) and our budget ranges from 1000-1500

Thanks so much for your excellent, straightforward videos! Do you have any comments on the quality of these Hisense TV's? I've only owned 2 flat panel tv's, an LG (42LD550) that died after 5 years and my current no frills, nothing great Vizio that refuses to die. I do have a Hisense dehumidifier that died around 9 months old but it's replacement has been running for a few years now. As a background note, I have the great fortune of repairing brand new Swedish automobiles and their software of late has been abysmal to put it kindly and there is occasionally a bad control module that needs replacing. So I understand that modern electronics can be hit or miss! Thanks again!!!!!!

For a couple years now I've been wanting a 75" screen. I love the bang for the buck that Hisense provides and I own the 65" H9G, very satisfied with it. I wanted to buy the 75" U8K but apparently this size sports an ips panel which has lower contrast than VA panels. So now I'm strongly considering the Lg oled 77b2, bright enough for the room I intend to use it in. I would buy the Samsung S95B in a heartbeat but it doesn't come larger than 65".

OMG LG B2 is so Inferior. Their C class G class are good. B is like low end. Sort like Hisense google panel vs Roku. If u r used to H9G will -HATE -LG B class. Skip that. Cuz yr eyes are USED to H9G. No way u will like it. U better off getting 2022 U8H --MINI LED , VA instead? Cuz that one is 75”. U might still be able to snatch one in time . U can use for like 2 yrs then like “upgrade “ . They r such good panel. I have seen it in store 98% accurately same as S95B. Cuz i was comparing d U8H vs S95B. It’s stunning.

The 75" TCL has a IPS/ADS panel and the contrast is excellent plus you get the advantage of superb wide viewing angle. I have this tv in a very bright sunlit room and it is super bright with now washout at all. Let me say I returned my TCL 75" QM8 and despite all the opinions around this TV under real conditions is in my opinion better than rhe TCL. Don't make the mistake about some "nit tester" telling you this TV isn't bright enough...simply not true watching all kinds of streaming content. This TV is amazing!

U6K is a great tv for its price range but it is only a 60hz panel, less dimming zones, and less brightness. For it's price range it's best in class HANDS DOWN...As it is the only Mini Dot Tv in the group of them... Reviewers report that it games pretty well for what it is. The U7K is a little more but well worth the upgrade as 120hz panel, 144hz in gaming mode, more dimming zones, and better calibration setting on it... HiSense labels the U7K as its gaming model on their website....

Hello great review. I have a ?. I am going to buy a u8k this week. My couch is between 9'-10' from where the tv will be mounted. This tv gets very bright. I cant decide if I should buy the 65" or 75". I Have seen both in-store and stood from the distance I told you. Do you think the 75" would be to big and I shoud go with the 65" . I love what TCL and Hisense are doing, packing in the void the big brands abandoned. I just wish they made smaller sizes. I can fit at most a 40-45" TV in the bedroom. The only sets this small are TCL 4 series and Hisense A6, which, while great sets, miss features like 120hz, FALD, mini-LED, etc. Kinda frustrating.

I was thinking of upgrading from the good ol G model... and i had a list i wanted hisense to add and just about all of those were done in 1 way or another.. such was fixing the colors being certain greens which we got shortly after with the G....i complained about not having the choices or limited choices with such as the color space and this year they did that.. i wanted a better game menu which got a late update and was just bareboned with the g model and we got that now... the speakers are a plus which i won't use as i have an onkyo.. they seem to get the plus's right but im surprised at the nits not reaching as they advertised, but as well not going way out there as you always shown in tests and with tcl pumping out more is a minus... the1 thing i want left from hisense is to stop with the 8bit+frc which mimics 10bit pretty well, but doesn't hit true 10bit on certain places and scenes... to have more local dimming points added is a plus but i really want to see true 10bit added, cutting back on the legs, other luxury feats and nits you would think they would add this in this year... just my sole thoughts and opinion... appreciate another great review

I think he already made those. It’s member ONLY. So just pay like $5 one time thing. I would cuz it’s nothing. Takes like days n many diff back n forth trying to figure it out. Initially when I had first panel took me a few months to figure out the best way to watch something. But I dont play games. He helps u with motion n upscaling etc. alll sorts. I heard his calibration is Fire. 😊

TCL QM8 or Hisense U8K my man? Gonna grab an 85" for theater room. Movies and sporting events are gonna be the main use for the tv...NFL,UFC,NBA...And just movies in general. Any input on what you think would be better for black levels and sports. Those are my main points to look for in a tv around this price range. Both look like they pop with color. The QM8 has better motion and a 10 bit panel so if gaming is your thing then The TCL is the choice BUT the U8K has better picture quality, better colors, better sharpness, and better upscaling of lower definition content from TV. I'm buying the U8K on Friday from Best Buy for 799.99 for the 55 inch model. I watch mostly tv and 4k UHD movies so better picture quality, no blooming, and sharper imaging is my main concern...The U8K is great for gaming with 144mhz panel and gaming pro mode...Also the U8K has a way better calibration tools to get the picture quality almost perfect...Remember the QM8 smallest size is a 65 inch and is $1,200.00.

@@petedetraglia4776 yea and the motion being better as Quantum said on QM8 would apply to tv and movies at 24p etc, but not gaming at 60 or 120fps i hope. I still have U8G and even tho great tv, the motion blur in movies n gaming took getting used to, but recent update improved it alot. Also if original commentor is looking for 75 inch, worthwhile to mention its IPS at that size for Hisense U8k, like someone else mentioned. That sux because i wanted to go from my U8G 65 inch to U8K 75, but i guess ill settle for 65, i want VA panel with great contrast. Stats on QM8 impress me, never owned TCL but i hear they still have weird bugs and QC issues still even in this model, and u are limited in being able to calibrate it.

The 75" u8k may still be worth a look.. go look at a display model at bb. They have one locally by me and I might haha.. for the main room of course.

Hey Quantum, I was wondering your opinion on the U8K’s (I’m looking at the 75” while it’s on sale)performance when it comes to being used for daily TV watching (cable tv) and blu-ray / 4K movies (give me physical media all day long). How does it handle professional sports games? I’m looking for a good tv that won’t produce blooming (like mine does now), accurate “real life” color, won’t make dark scenes (like in an alley) just black blobs. I don’t have a professional eye so I don’t pick up on all the finer things. I just want a tv where I will say “that is a beautiful picture” and be able to enjoy it more than my current LG. Hey,,,the OLED--Make Dark SCNES just Black Blobs…it’s called “black Crush”. 😮😮😮😮 ALL OLEDs do. It’s just sick. Especially when u have lights on, like cleaning or doing stuff. It looked just chunky. Black chunks. I remember my husband saw them in store like pointing at LG CX n SONY A90J”what’s that ? $650????” When i told them they were like over $2000 , he was like :”HELL NO, why ? It’s much worse than Hisense”. Me :”cuz u are used to see more details on HIsense. OLEDs are like FAKED into perception of Premium when its not.”. Cuz because they crush so much -in TV review from far away, they FAKE” yay i am much more crisp/clear” but in real life due to lack of transition colors the are flat , they look more of 2D than 3D. It’s really -brain wash technology to make ppl belive its MORE premium than mini LED, in fact it s just side by side. Like “iPhone vs Android phone” “ pc vs Mac”. It’s NOT better. I hve 2 HIsens 2020 n 2021 panel. I do NOT play video games. N i watch so much tv. N i d tell u no issues. I dont watch blue ray so i cant really speak on that. D ONLY 1 guy kept complaining about blue ray , is he kept watching LOW resolution Blue rays on 24ps. Others watch Blue ray saying t hey have NO issues at all. If its 4k Blueray ,hell ya. :) 😊

Hey Quantum, like I comments in your other video, I was thinking of getting this TV, but what you said about dropping the signal from HDMI splitters is giving me pause. What exactly do you mean when you say it drops and do you think it’s something that could be fixed with a software update? I use a couple HDMI splitters for hooking up game consoles and this has me a bit worried.

My question would be I’ve got an old Samsung unit from 2016 and I’m happy with it, although I wanna upgrade. My question is the majority of my TV watching is 80% streaming or cable input. I know this TV gets rave reviews on HDR content, but everyday cable watching, up scaling and sports how does it perform? I’ll never hook up a game or DVD player. $900 for the U8K 65" right now is great. I wish the X90L didn't have disgusting blooming levels... It's only $1000 for the same size. Maybe they'll add better mini-led options next year for Sony. OLED would be lovely, but I have static images on my screen half the day (security system) would lead to greater burn in risk. The U8K (even the U7K) seem like decent options at their price point though. The 75" U7K is $900 too though... that might be just a better choice.

Was hoping for complete package based on all the new Hisense hype. Missing the mark on motion kinda sucks. You mentioned gaming is great on it though. Motion is a concern for me as I watch a lot of sports. Looks like a95B for me. I waited for the Hisense release to make a decision. Or is LG the better option for Motion and gaming over s95B. Also I love the new video release format for your reviews.

Best buy was selling the Hisense u8k for 1199.00 plus tax I jumped on it. I am please with it I know the tcl qm8 and Sony were competitors but Sony was 500.00 more and the tcl was a coin flip in terms of difference in panels. Everything people say about these tvs is true. Did u watch Fomo/Brian tech their Reviews having U8K --OUT of box, no tweak nothing, set to 100% back light, -switch from Standard, to Film Maker/theatre mode--Make the TV looks instantly TRASH Washed oUT, motion smooth turn off > Then having their camera Aimmed at d DARKER panel beside Hisenes, so suddently d Camera -itself lifts the TV brightness. Since it’s like 1500nit of course will be MUCH brighter than d OLED beside it. --by having d back light on 100% UN tweaked. Of course d Camera will do that “lifting trick”. They not gonna tell u that. 😮 like taking iphone pic. In sunset. U tap on the object, everything at Background beside it got bloomed out. 😅 They know it. Yeah Hisense Theatre/Film Maker Mode its like d Worst MODE> they make the TV look like $300 instantly. 😢 when watch youtube reviews, pay attention to first 60 seconds, they almost MOVE their Remote clicks FAST. U will see what they set the : Mode/back light/ motion/front light,….total scam. I have bought 2 Panels now …in home Visual --MATCH identical to Quatum videos. NO miss match. Thats why I am backing him up. He is honest. 😊

Seems like you like the u8h better. I think you might have just gotten a dim tv because all the other reviews are saying how bright it is. And I never knew you really did not like google TV so do you like the u8h or u8k better???

To make the tv brightest u have to turn of the dimming sensor .....then its at the brightest setting

Hisense seems to be positioning this tv more for the gaming market than the videophile. I'm using one as my pc gaming monitor and its absolutely stunning and the 120/144hz wide range vrr means games are butter smooth as long as they can stay above 70~80ish.

Just cuz the 144hz feature doesnt make it just for gamers.. The fact its a mini led with a ton of dimming zones and black levels and contrast are pushing OLED levels means its for videopholes as well as gamers. Hdr dolby vision content on these look insane.

I can review it for ya. The U7K is on the same level, same processor, but lower nits around 1,000...So it can't get as bright as the U8K but everything else is just about the same...

It’s great tv for gaming and highlights. Motions is very bad for sports. I just got 900xl and I am going to test with sports. Also hdr movies had noticeable movie issue. I read a lot of comment regarding motion issue so I am 💯 is not only me.

and then some...I have the 75" U8K which was $200 less than the QM8 and it has more features. I had the QM8 and returned it when I saw the TCL on display. No regrets. The TCL is amazing!
