Thanks for sharing! Does it come with HDMI 2.1 cables or we have to buy one separately?

a friend got the Toshiba Z77? 144hz tv recently on black friday, but ended up returning it because the Vidaa os on it was buggy as anything.. like a simple thing like playing files through Plex didn't even work. I have an older Z-series Toshiba with Android TV and it's 100x better. Would be great if we could choose the OS this comes with

What size is it and panel does it use, VA or ADS?
@GLITCHEDZA3 ай бұрын
Like the box says - 75-inch. The 75.85 are ADS Pro panels and the 55, 65 are VA panels.
@Dani-kq6qq3 ай бұрын
@GLITCHEDZA Then you are the best person i can ask about my 75-inch U8N. If you can, please create a guide for calibrating the TV, I heard that I shouldn't just use a TV without calibrating. I have only found guides for VA panel version

@@Dani-kq6qq I will definitely do a "Best Picture settings" video soon. I am just waiting for Hisense to patch some issues out of the TV first. Issues that are causing some calibrations to be off. I think for now, I suggest sticking to some tweaks like Colour - Warm 1 Colour - 55 Contrast - 80 Sharpness - 15 (on all content) Adaptive Contrast - Off Dark Detail - Off Local Dimming - Medium Backlight - 80 - 100 (Depending on how bright you want the TV) I found 80 is great and 100 is often overly bright and overexposes whites Noise Reduction - Off Digital Noise Reduction - Off Gradient - Off Precision Detail - Off (on for upscaled content) Super Resolution - On Motion - All Off Light Sensor - Off Blue Light - Off Colour Tuner - Untouched (for now) White Balance (2 point) R-Offset - -2 G-Offset - 1 B-Offset - 0 R-Gain - 1 G-Gain - 10 B-Gain - 15

Does this TV contain a little or a lot of blooming?
@GLITCHEDZA3 ай бұрын
It’s got blooming. You can’t see it at all during the day. At night and in dark rooms it’s visible. But it’s the best blooming handling I’ve seen on a TV.

Hey, could I get some advice, I'm also from South Africa Right now, there are 2 TV's I am looking at currently on sale The Hisense 55" U8K going for R10k the Samsung 55" Q70D going for R11k What would you say is better between these two?
@GLITCHEDZA2 ай бұрын
The Samsung Q70D has no local dimming which is an instant no-buy for me. It means there's no black-level improvement and you'll always see the panel no matter how dark the scene is. I can't recommend a local-dimming-free TV under any circumstance. It also isn't very bright. But that could be workable. But please don't buy a TV without local dimming. You'll hate it haha.
@super_sayf2 ай бұрын
@@GLITCHEDZA Ah I see, much appreciated. I'm just a bit hesitant about the U8K because apparently our model is not the same as the US variant. Hisense makes our panels here in SA locally. Do you by any chance have a South African review on it? Or would you recommend the U8N instead?
@GLITCHEDZA2 ай бұрын
@@super_sayf Yes I do have a review on the local U8K here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJunhGuFjpaqb6ssi=JCeYx-jYy5UeWMCZ It is almost identical to the US model. A few dimming zones less and runs VIDAA but the TV quality is up there with it. I currently have the U8N and that review should be up this weekend.

Have you ever had an oled? Im an oled guy, but i really want to get this tv here in Brazil. The 85" its half the price an 77" oled.
@diego12943 ай бұрын
How close is to an oled?
@GLITCHEDZA3 ай бұрын
@@diego1294 In my opinion, I would take this TV over an OLED. I have an OLED, it doesn't get very bright and costs a fortune for a fraction of the size. This TV has some incredible brightness. I had to turn it down sometimes because it would hurt my eyes. The colours are superb too. Almost on OLED level. The blacks are very good too. During the day, this TV looks like an OLED. It is hard to pick up the flaws. At night and in a completely dark room, you do see blooming around bright objects. There's no getting away from it. But the blooming is a small trade-off for everything great it does. Its brightness, colour and pricing. In my opinion anyway.
@diego12943 ай бұрын
@@GLITCHEDZA very good explanation. You convinced me and took my doubts away. Im going for this hisense u8n for the price and size and have the best of both worlds. Thank you very much.
