Which bounds him to Knox’s 10 rules of detective fiction, rule 2 being: all supernatural agencies are ruled out as a matter of course. Basically, unless it says that something supernatural happened, it didn’t. Ergo, Batman doesn’t have any technology that hasn’t been invented, except for what has previously been established in the story, and what reasonable stretches of the imagination allow. Since when the movie takes place there isn’t confirmed to be human jets that can fly that fast, there aren’t.
