His name being Chewbacca is actually way more believable... Neither Han nor Leia ever had a close relationship with Obi-Wan "Ben" Kenobi so there's no real reason why either of them would ever name their son after him. Leia only knew him as Obi-Wan from stories and never really met him... unless you count when she was a baby... Han had the most interaction with him and didn't even like Ben him. Luke was the only person who ever had a close enough relationship with Ben to actually want to name a kid after him. Did Luke name Han and Leia's kid? He's the uncle, since when do uncles get to decide the names of their sister's child? Considering how close Han and Chewbacca are it makes way more sense that he'd name his son after his best friend... as ridiculous as that sounds because Chewbacca is basically a large alien humanoid dog... But it wouldn't be the first time one of Harrison Ford's characters took a name from a dog and gave it to a person... remember when we found out Indiana isn't his real name and was actually the name of a dog he had as kid.
