A good tank cleaning tip for any black tank. Empty the tank, reinstall or close valves, dump in a bag of ice and a small amount of chemical and finish your drive home. The sliding around of the ice will help remove any accumulated solids and liquify them as the ice melts. Most tank replacements are because of waste turning to concrete. Clean tanks make for good trips.

from daily riding of a commuter train with a dry bowl toilet I learned that if you lay down a thin bed of toilet paper in the bowl you can avoid the brown streaks and it flushes much quicker thus saving water. I do that in our RV toilet.

This was a great video. I had a cassette toilet in one of my previous campers and loved it. I also had a spare cassette I stored in my truck and it was a life savor. I will be installing one in a cargo van conversion I will be starting soon. One silly little tip: I have lived in campers and had to laugh about the skid marks. I almost hate to admit it but I started using car wax in my RV toilets and it really helps in keeping it clean and your stuff washes off easier. The first time I waxed my toilet I knew I have entered a new dimension in RV living. You guys look like you have lots of fun. Thanks again!

A little tip for reducing skid marks is to use a little silicon spray on the bowl, this is good for lubricating the blade and stops the sh** from sticking as much, just make sure the bowl is dry before spraying, kind regards

Thank you for actually using the toilet. Another known KZbin couple did a video about their cassette toilet, saying how great it was, but at the end they said that they only use it for number 1. You can do that anywhere, and they didn't say where they did number 2. That was a glaring omission.

Honestly this is one of the BEST vids on cassette toliets that I have seen. As a complete newbie to motorhoming, the toilet is one of the aspects which really concerns me, and so although I know it's never going to be pleasant the fact you guys were so honest and forthright with your tips and advice is so incredibly valuable. I think I must have watched at least 2 hours of KZbin so far about these toliets - but you guys are No.1 in my opinion. All the best on your travels! By the way have you ever tried 'Happy Bowl Liners' ? I found them online and they look like a good idea - but no clue as I've never tried them...( I have no affilation with or interest in them BTW)

This is a great video. Thanks for sharing this. This answers a lot of my questions about cassette toilets with an external compartment for a tank. Other KZbinrs with Cassette toilets always say they only do #1 on their cassette toilets which is ok but when you gotta go #2, you gotta go.
