Fun facts: -In the manga, after Hisoka's arm is severed, he bites off and eats a chunk of meat from it for no reason at all, and after that, he takes out a card from inside. You can actually see Hisoka's muscles, bones and tendons inside his severed arm. -There is an unofficial Hisoka backstory manga volume created by the author of Tokyo Ghoul (a very successful seinen manga). Togashi said that he liked it, and that he would like to work around it, so I think at least he considered making it canon. -This one's gonna blow your mind... did you know that bungee gum has both the properties of rubber and gum?

Other characters have much stronger abilities on top of their skills (which combined make them stronger than Hisoka) whereas Hisoka's ability is relatively weak. He just uses it ingeniously. He'd stil lose to plenty of characters but the fact that he gets so far with such a modest ability is a testament to his skill.

Hxh doesn't work on the villain vs hero format. It just has a bunch of different charachters with their own agenda clashing on to eachother. In one arc a charachter might be a acquaintance but in the other he could turn out in a antagonist. That's why hxh feels so alive and real

Zushi is also a prodigy however when compared to Killua and Gon it’s easy to forget that. That’s why he’s getting one on one training with a master in the Heavens Arena at the age of 6 or 7 years old. Killua and Gon are just SUPER rare monster potential talents. 😅

I wrote a Hisoka backstory some 9 years ago and you can find it in discussions of a Crunchyroll group called United Hunters. And it's true that bungee gum has the properties of both gum and rubber. I'd love to find out what has become of Zushi in the current timeline. Maybe he has some growth spurt or now a floor master.
