It's sad how KONE is selfish with their lift controllers and then having a record of "a reliable lift" being modernized. It's due to their controllers having their proprietary lockings, like the 1000 trip lock or the 5 locking installed in most new ecodiscs today. that's why you see the logic mainly being modernized rather then the ecodisc and doors aswell as the lift car but the buttons cannot be kept since it's pins may have an issue operating with the new logic, kone does everything in proprietary.
