I really love playing Niv Reborn. So many flexible removal spells, so many options on so many cards, if you use them right you can win most games and if you use them wrong you can lose most games. 500 IQ Magic at it's finest This is a very competitive commander, not for "toilet gaming", you will be punished if you are playing this while distracted. Que it up if you love competition.

16:02 I go up against Sythis a lot with my own Niv Reborn. I've noticed the best defense against her is to keep her off the board no matter what. The longer Sythis stays out, the more life they gain and the further they get to churn through their deck. The more they churn through their deck, the more likely they'll be able to turn their pseudo-cycling into straight card advantage. When it comes to that, they'll always be able to bounce back from any removal you throw at them when they have 5+ cards in hand. Some really underrated spice I use in my Niv-Reborn is Rip Apart from Strixhaven. 3 damage to a creature or planeswalker; or destroy target artifact or enchantment for R/W. Helps me deal with some the top tier runner ups like Golos, Prismatic Bridge, and Sythis.

I keep saying to him that I'd love to see his approach to Yasharn. I like to control the board with mass removals like Shatter the Sky and Depopulate so I draw some cards. Against Control I use big beefy Green creatures and taxes like God Statue Farao

Outside of just straight buying the wildcards, drafting is the best way you build a collection. Other than that you can grind the regular events for gems or just crack packs with the gold you get from dailies

No matter how often I see Assemble the Team played, I can't get used to just how busted the card is. They really just looked at Impulse, one of the best 2 mana card selection spells and said: "Yeah, but what if we simply make the card selection part ~4 times as good?" Also how in the world is this supposed to be a green card?!?

I don't mind the hell queue in theory but it's always frustrating to run into a 5c commander with only a two color, especially if the deck is jank oriented. No real way to handle it except make a queue that's just Niv and Jodah only lol

I like the variety of the format but counterspells being so strong is a hard pill to swollow. Counters are just not really a very "fun" mechanic for me. Maybe the format would change if more Aggro commanders are implemented in mtg arena.

Do you mean "it just goes to the command zone"? Who cares, it's basically NOT the card Uro anymore, their commander gets replaced with a 3MV (+commander tax) 6/6 vanilla creature, and if that beats you somehow, you weren't going to win in the first place. It doesn't draw cards or play lands when they cast it or when they attack, ever, for the rest of the game. If you're gonna put stupid broken Alchemy cards in your deck at least read what they do. Oh well, fewer Alchemy cards being actually played is still a good thing.

Per the 2022.16.0 patch notes: "We are adjusting the rules around Brawl Commanders and Perpetual to make the two mechanics play better together. As you move your commander to the command zone, you may choose to remove all perpetual effects on that Commander".
